"I would not recommend this firm. I used them for my London property purchase which was a nightmare. The lawyers at early stage were fine, but they changed team at the completion stage and internally they don't seem to communicate with each other for the hand over. Their AML process is ridiculous. What's worse, no one told me some critical procedures needed in order to complete the procedures untill very last minute. I couldn't obtain the documents and ended with me losing half of my deposit and all transaction costs for nothing. Then Forsters sent me a large bill for 'their large amount of time spent'. I enquired the detailed split of the expenses, such as disbursements (over 500 pounds) and the Senior Associate Georgina Haddon refused to explain and told me they have the right to withhold my funds until I agree to pay for the amount they asked for. They charge me 600 pounds for a 2 page agreement they drafted. There simply lacked customer respect and care. Anyone can tell me whether law firm can withhold customer's funds until I have to agree with their bill?"

"I feel the need to air my grievance with Forsters LLP, to this day I am still troubled by my experience with this company. I had a consultation with a member of staff who visited me at my home. After talking about my issue the gentleman from Forsters admitted that I ‘knew my stuff’ (I am an accountant). I said that I didn’t want to be billed for what I already know in which he laughed and said ‘no no ofcourse not’. The following week I received an email with a 10 page pdf attachment, which contained information that could’ve and still can be obtained from the HMRC website. To my horror and dismay I was also invoiced for £7,200.00! If engaging their services I’d advise that a fee is agreed upon first."

"Forsters acted for us over three years for the purchase of a new-build long-leasehold apartment in West London. Their service was exceptional! Very thorough report analysing the lease with prompt, knowledgeable and courteous advice when handling the conveyance. A special call out for Ezgi who always responded promptly to queries, even outside normal office hours. Great value. Highly recommended."

"A really appalling level of service for a simple process of conveyancing that ended up with my property not registered with Land registry and the firm not letting me know about it. They were swift to pass the blame onto covid driven delays (nothing to do with their lack of communicating the issues with me). I would not recommend them at all. "Disappointing services - fees are much higher than other firms in the industry, and the solicitor (who specialises in dealing with 'overseas' clients/investors) hardly followed our instructions and even tried to add extra fees and hidden charges. The overall communications from the solicitor were slow and unclear. We had never experienced these issues with other residential property solicitors in London. Granted the partner of the firm subsequently contacted us to rectify the issues and apologise, and this is much appreciated."
