"Booked taxi for airport run, you know, the airport where the time you arrive is kind of important. Called and booked 7 hours in advance. Operator accepted booking, assured me that I would get a call back and that the driver would be there on time. Needless to say they were a no show. When I called to enquire the (different) operator told me that they can't take bookings. If you can't take bookings then maybe tell the customer that instead of pretending that you do. From reading other reviews it seems like falsely confirming bookings is standard practice with these guys. Such a strange company policy."

"Called for a taxi at 07:55 and hadn't arrived by 08:20 so I called back. Girl in the office said driver had come and nobody showed. I hadn't received a text to say it was dispatched or that it had arrived and no phone call from the driver. Girl in the office was cheeky,rude and disinterested. Had poor experiences in the past with TOA just a rubbish company won't be using again."

"2 very poor recent experiences with Johnstone TOA have made me reluctantly decide I can’t use them again. Thu 15th Dec - 19:45 phoned and requested a taxi from Bar Revolution 69 Renfield Street. I was explicit in giving address as I know there are several bars in Glasgow city centre with same/similar names. After a while got a call from driver to say he was outside. He actually wasn’t. Controller had sent him to a bar of same name in Mitchell st. I got cut off from driver before we could finish a conversation (apparently driver only gets 60 secs to make that call). I phoned the TOA number again to speak to controller who insisted that I requested a pick up from the Mitchell st bar. I did explain that wasn’t the case and I was specific about 69 Renfield st address in first place. She became quite ‘nippy’ and hung up on me. I had to phone again to understand if the taxi was being redirected to correct pick up. After another wait I was called by driver to say he was outside. Once again he wasn’t. The controller had sent him to another address on Renfield st 2 blocks away. Only thanks to drivers and my own patience we’re we able to locate where he was and I got a lift home. Controller was nippy , rude and sent car to wrong address twice. I was neither drunk or rude having had only 2 beers Fri 16th July 18:45 I had PREBOOKED 2 taxis for a Christmas event from/to my home address one at 18:45 and return at 01:00. No sign of my taxi at 18:45 so I called and was informed taxi had not been dispatched yet. I waited another 5 mins and called again to be informed same, it was busy and my booking had not been dispatched and there was no ETA available. I then asked for booking to be cancelled and I was forced to make other arrangements and was subsequently very late in getting to my destination. I cancelled the return journey also as I had no confidence that my experience at 1 am would be any different when it was even busier seems there was zero value in pre booking a return journey as you are not given any kind of priority if phones are busy for real time bookings. The service from this company is not what it used to be and they are unreliable"

"The drivers from this company are amazing - always superb customer service and the only reason I still use them. The reason I have given it 3 stars and not 5 is the service from the office - worst I have ever experienced. They continually hang up on you (this happens 90% of the time). Once they said they didn't work in my area and hung up the phone, I called back and they had assumed it was somewhere else but didn't even hear me out, just cut me off! So unbelievably and unnecessarily rude."
