"The staff at Vets Now were amazing when our German Shepherd suffered full a torsion on Boxing Day. They took her in to a surgery the minute we arrived to administer something to make her more comfortable. The vet who looked after her was very considerate, caring and gentle. She advised that we were in an emergency situation and had to act quickly. However, she asked permission to perform X-rays prior to surgery to ascertain exactly what she was dealing with. The X-rays showed further complications in the form of a tumour on the spleen and asked what we wanted her to do. After a short discussion we decided that surgery was appropriate given that our dog was 10 years old with a splenic tumour. We agreed that we had to let her go. The vet agreed with our decision and was very considerate. She showed us to another room that was quiet and left us with our dog for a while to allow us to say our goodbyes. She then carefully administered the final injection and our beautiful dog was soon asleep. There was no compulsion to pay or to do anything else. We were allowed to leave and go home. No one asked for a credit card or any details. We were asked to call the surgery when we felt like it to pay for the vets consultation and the drugs administered. All in all we were very happy with the way we and our dog were treated. Everyone was very kind and understanding and we would highly recommend the surgery."
"Oscar, our big friendly Rottweiler needed emergency treatment at the weekend. In what can be a very emotional time for pet parents, the reception staff were very welcoming and the lady vet was exceptionally kind and caring towards our boy. He was relaxed and happy during his treatment and I can't thank and praise Vets Now enough. In our hour of need they were wonderful."
"We had to visit Vets Now Emergency in Edinburgh two weeks ago as our cat was seriously ill and took a turn for the worst. The receptionist was so helpful on the phone and made sure we knew where to go. When we arrived at the vets we were greeted by Scott Walker the vet who examined Tigger and after a thorough examination it was decided that there was nothing that could be done for him so although it was a very hard decision, it was agreed by my wife and myself and Scott to sadly put Tigger to sleep. Scott explained the whole procedure to us and made us feel comfortable with what we were about to do and gave us time to say our goodbyes to Tigger who had been with us for over 16 years. We both have to say how caring Scott was and the nurse on duty and they made a harrowing experience as painless as possible. We would both like to thank Vets Now Emergency Edinburgh through this experience e and for their condolences after the loss of our cat Tigger."
"I was extremely grief stricken when the vet told me that my cat had cancer and would have to. Be put to sleep. The staff and vet were very kind, empathetic and professional. Although it was a very difficult experience it was made easier by your wonderful staff."
"Had to take my dog for some treatment on a Sunday. I have vets now a call, had an appointment booked in minutes, and treatment was very quick after I arrived. Bit pricey. But all in all a very good service and experience for me and the dog."
