"If there was an option for zero stars that’s what I’d be giving! Unfortunately I do not have anything good to say about this ballet company! Please do not waste your money or your child’s time and efforts. Unless you are prepared for your child to learn nothing but a few basic moves throughout two terms of paying £145 each term! This is by far the most expensive and least educational ballet school in London! My daughter has been to a few other ballet schools but this place taught the least for the most money! You'd be lucky if your child gets 20 minutes of learning per session which you pay to have 45 minutes of. Your child will be moved up a class to free up space for new beginners without a reward or acknowledgment of their hard work and efforts. I’m sure the cost we have paid should cover a basic certificate to make the children happy that they’ve achieved something or reached the next stage of ballet! Unfortunately, all they get is a basic sticker. The costs are not stated from the beginning so be prepared for a massive amount to pay for your child to be a part of the final performance. Yes that’s not included within your term fee! If you cannot afford to pay £90 your child will be left out of the final performance despite being good at what she does! The management make you feel small when you can’t afford for your child to attend the big performance, despite the fact you’ve paid for the whole year! They deprive your child of their rightful end of year performance which you think would be included in the term fees but beware it isn’t! If you want your child to actually learn ballet, look elsewhere as this place is nothing but a waste of time and money!"

"Highly recommended. My daughter joined the grade 2 ballet class earlier this year. She has been doing ballet classes since she was 5 but as she progressed she was finding that everything was getting rather serious and frankly not much fun. I was desperate for her not to give up and to find a school which balanced the high standards and excellent teaching of her old school with a desire for the kids to enjoy the classes and come away with a smile on their faces. We hit the jackpot with Ballet North! She recently took part in the Christmas show at Islington Assembly Halls which was a thoroughly professional and well organised event - as well as hugely enjoyable for both the kids and the audience. We are very glad to have found Ballet North!"
