"Awful College came to a open day in 2017 regarding a public services course but was talked onto doing a Substance misuse course no help or guidance what so ever from staff after telling them my intended Career pathway complete Waste of Time."
"Lovely grounds and the guides were very kind and their explanations of the courses were fantastic! Live music was brilliant and inspirational! Definitely recommend!"
"Awful experience with North Kent College. They have been sending me emails about outstanding balance for the last two years, although everything has been sorted out by student loan before. Also, the language they are using in their emails is awful, it’s very demanding and rude, literally is upsetting."
"I have read a few reviews complaining that this college is unsuitable for students with mental health problems. I have studied at this college for four years and have found that this campus has a great support system for students with mental health and special education needs. Teaching assistants help and encourage students with their work. There is also a nice quiet room where students can have quiet time if the atmosphere gets too overwhelming. The senior learning support officer is very helpful. At this college, I studied art and design. This course taught me many new skills and techniques, such as drawing, painting, collage, and printmaking. The teachers and TAs are supportive and friendly. I recommend this college to anyone."
"My daughter has had a terrible experience at NKC. I informed them before she started that she has severe mental health issues and learning difficulties which are widely documented and they assured me they would support her. This was not the case! Both my daughter and several other students with mental health and learning difficulties were treated appalling by tutors. One tutor blatantly lied to me regarding my daughter “bunking off”. When caught out, she had another teacher ring me to make excuses. After several incidences, I wrote a complaint and the head of department rang me. She was rude, dismissive and what I can only describe as gaslighting me regarding the incidences, she also had no knowledge of my daughters issues despite it being on her notes and treated me as if I was lying about it. As stated, my daughter wasn’t the only student treated poorly, the worst treatment was of an autistic boy whose parents also complained on many occasions. If you have a special needs child, do not send them to this college."
