"I too was approached by someone from their team and was extremely impressed. I’d been thinking about doing something different for quite a long time now. I’m kind of limited in my current job without decent qualifications. After meeting up with one of their advisors in London it became clear they could offer me a chance to get into the career of my dreams, in IT ( I know, I have weird dreams !). Anyway, I’m in the middle of my application at the moment and am really excited ! I know some people don’t like being approached and are really happy with their job/career. And good for you. But some of us yearn for a change in life and it was just the push I needed to take the plunge. Thanks Global University Systems. Keep up the great work !"
"Was out with a friend when I was first approached by these people. A woman was handing out leaflets, so to be polite I went to take one, and she started engaging me in conversation. She asked for my age and kept going on about all the courses they did. I told her several times it was of no use to me as I'm already a student elsewhere, but she was insistent me and my friend put our names and numbers on her sheet. Desperate to just get away at this point, in the end we reluctantly agreed, guessing we could just decline the phone call and that would be fine. The next day, I woke up to a text message explaining what this place was and that someone could call me to book an open day, it told me to text 'yes' if I was interested. I wasn't, so ignored it figuring if I didn't reply they'd get the idea I wasn't interested, as their text implied. A couple of hours later, they text me again, telling me that the final few places at a particular college were filling up. Again, I wasn't interested, so I didn't reply. After a few hours, that's when the calling began, which was honestly the most irritating. From that point, in the space of a few hours I had 3 missed calls from them, and the person I was with had more! Seems odd they're so desperate to get students that despite telling them it was of no use and ignoring their attempts of making contact, they still won't give up. From this experience alone I would never consider going there, even if I wasn't already a student."
"Attended one of their meetings which they invited me for and booked a time slot.... the people interviewed me COULD NOT ANSWER SIMPLE QUESTION - for example do you do a masters degree? I am surprised how the government allows agencies like this to operate in the middle of London!!!! Scammer from abroad as simple as that!"
"AVOID. They've called me several times (switched to private when I stopped answering their normal number), despite the fact that I am registered with the TPS and have explicitly stated that I don't want unsolicited calls. They're trying to get you involved in some course thing which, to be honest, sounds dodgy as hell."
"GUS is a pain in the neck. They keep telephoning me and either ring off before I answer or there is no one on the other end and the line goes dead. If I phone back, a recorded voice invites me to leave a message but there is no facility to do this. They have been asked repeatedly not to telephone and to remove my number from their call list. This has been totally ignored. They are a disgrace and I suspect are just making money from the 0203 number that is recorded from the missed call list."
