"Had to withdraw from a course due to the deteriorating health of a close family member. Said family member was in hospital and their health was declining rapidly. It was unlikely that they would come out of hospital. I couldn't guarantee being in class so I contacted the adult education centre, asked to either be credited so that I could do a later course or a refund. I received a phone call saying that they couldn't do this because (and I quote) 'it's all about the money'. They did say that they sympathised but at the end of the day it was about the money. I can honestly say that I will never sign up for a course with this organisation again. It's not so much about the money, more about the attitude..."
"I had booked a place on a Saturday morning taster for Nutrition for health. really looking forward to it. only to turn up at Dartford Adult Education Centre to find it had been cancelled !!! due to not enough interest apparently. It would have been expected to have had some notice, I have a very busy schedule and have had to keep this weekend free , turning down work. A voice-mail on my mobile would have been sufficient. I am not impressed, infact I am appalled at the lack of consideration for potential students I will think very carefully about boking any future classes."
