"i hate this school. tell me why i get sent out because someone is kicking my chair and i get a hour the next day because of it. you need to talk to your science teacher(miss davis) and your drama teacher (miss chatterly). they're very rude to my class especially miss davis. i asked her for tissue once and she said "no i'm not responsible for your nose" and she's just really rude. for miss chatterly, she's extremely racist (not going into detail). the school doesn't care about you"
"The bridges academy is not the best school however I have had some good moments .The school's bullying help is absolute shambles as the school is full to the brim with bullies. I myself have experienced horrible bullying and all they can say is that you should "talk to me later" or "don't worry they will stop". But on the bright side the education has gotten better and if you want the best for your child and a amazing uni the I recommend this school."
"after y11 they didn’t call us back for our prom after the first covid lockdown. they took everything away from us and didn’t allow half the boys of the year group to come back to sixth form. 2 years later the same year group didn’t receive a prom instead they got a horrible bbq with 2/5 food hygiene and a dead assembly which they gave out childish rewards while the current y11s are on a yacht for there end of year prom. for the year group that just finished there A levels and went through the most during covid 19, only received a bbq and a goodbye assembly. it’s embarrassing the school thought this was okay but yet again it didn’t surprise us. maybe for the next y13 you can level up because that was embarrassing :)"
"My son is at year 11. It's true that the behavioural policy can be strict at times, especially in year 7, but the head and the teachers listened to the parents and put in place some changes as they realised that giving detentions for very minor issues was counterproductive. My son is happy there, he has a good rapport with the teachers and he's doing well academically. He's considering to stay for A levels. The year leader is very responsive and always got back to my emails very quickly."
