"The teacher's don't care the headmaster is unprofessional and doesn't care. The children bully other kids but nothing is done about it. The parents are horrible and have long conversations with the teachers when I'm trying to get my kids. If you want your child to go to a decent school then please don't go here it's awful and the children hate it....."
"Bullying is not treated rationally. The emotional hardship bullied students go through is directly hushed and ignored by the school's teachers and admin. I recall a student being hit by stones on a school trip whilst the teacher was looking away, the student was accused of lying despite the EVIDENCE! VERY WRONG. The school should have excluded the bullies and taught respect in class to resolve anti-social behaviour. No wonder why well-behaved students feel safer home-schooled!!!"
"Don't send your kids here my son was bullied even to the point of being thrown to the ground twice and stomped on by main bully and the bullys 2 friends this bullying went on for 6 months, and during that 6 months me and my son reported every incident to his teacher, but was told that my son must report these incidents exactly after they happen so that she can gather witnesses, and so my son did start reporting straight after to the 1st teacher he came across after an attack, but his main teacher said that she can't do anything because he could only describe the teachers as he didn't know there names, after 4 months I said to the teacher that "I am getting a vibe from you that after all this time of my son being bullied you ain't even to spoken to the bullys or there parents" and shockingly she said she hadn't, so I took the matter to the Head Teacher Mr Toby Cooke and told him all the different reasons the teacher gave me for not doing nothing, I also told him most kids don't even tell no one there being bullied they normally go commit suicide, and even more shocking is he said he my son's teacher didn't even tell him about it, he said he will investigate the matter and 1 week went past no feedback, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, (all this time my son was ducking and avoiding the bullys) a month later I finally saw Mr Cooke in the playground and asked him what's happening and he refused to tell me, told me it's private wow is he crazy or what, long story short 2 months later school had 6 weeks summer holidays during which I spoke to the bullys parents who told me they was not informed, wow so Mr Cooke idea of private means he keeps parents reporting bullying to himself, after the summer holidays the bullying stopped no thanks the Head Teacher Mr Toby Cooke or my son's Teacher, I used to like Beddington School till all this happened I felt they let my son down, so I start letting other parents know what I went through and to my surprise each parent I spoke to had similar or even worse things that had happened to them from the Head Teacher Mr Toby Cooke, and to there kids from being bullied just like me they reported numerous times to Mr Cooke himself and he does nothing about it, I spoke to 80 percent of the parents during dropping my son to school and waiting to pick him up at home time, and I heard more than 5 first hand accounts of Head Mr Toby Cooke bullying Parents by frets of calling social services on them, I heard about 20 or 30 accounts of him actually calling Social Services on parents, 5 of them have been on parents that I am friends with, and in each of all accounts after the Social Service did there investigation, Social Services said Mr Cooke reporting to them was unfounded a waste of time, I also heard he has gone as far as to lie to police and has sent them to some of the parents homes, to tell the truth during the time my son went to Beddington School I have seen Police called to the School about 30 sometimes 50 times a year, I am sure if someone maybe Ofsted if they cared(as many of us reported Mr Cooke to him but they still gave the school a good review 2018) they would see that Beddington School has made record amounts of calls to Sutton and Croydon Police and Social Services, Compared to the other Primary and high Schools in both Boroughs, I know that what I have written is bad enough but hey it gets worse, in the time my son was there each year 1 or 2 even 3 Teachers who were teaching in my son's class each year would just leave without warning, other parents told me the same was happening in there kids classes, our kids all said the same thing that at the end of a school day said to there Teacher see you tomorrow, and the next day the Teacher never showed up and ain't been back since, now here is how it gets worse I have seen 3 of those Teachers all separately and each told me Head Teacher Mr Toby Cooke, bullied them into quiting because they didn't agree with how a pupil or pupils are being treated or with a teaching method, they said he has other Teachers who he is close with and they to will bully them."
"Brilliant school for kids without special needs, but the head teacher here is an absolute disgrace, He threatened to permanently exclude my son if i did not "choose" to pull him out to home school him due to my sons behavioural problems he internally secluded for a whole week and wasn't aloud to play or interact with any other child!!!, thanks to my sons new school, we managed to get a diagnoses, adhd and autisum! And are now receiving the correct help, The head said he would send my son work to do at home while home schooling him, but he didn't, I rang several times to find out what was happening but I was completely ignored, We were homeless at the time i was pregnant and my youngest son was also attending this disgrace of a school, I had to pull him out in the end too as the traveling become to much, head said he would help with that but he lied again. He lies to save his own back, he should be struck off."
"A great visit to work with the school on a brand new initiative. This place is ahead of the pack on all levels, and is driving change by building upon the inherent strengths and adaptability of its strong staff team."
