"We moved to Joseph Hood Primary School from another local primary school and my daughter has flourished. From day one she felt encouraged and supported so we arevery happy we made the decision to move her. My youngest is now in reception and loves being at school, so much so that he counts the sleeps until the end of the holidays. The school is a caring family where the teachers know each child individually and the bigger kids are encouraged to help the younger ones where possible. A safe environment where our children want to learn."
"A great school with wonderful and caring teachers. My eldest child has been at the school for 5 years now and has made fantastic progress academically and as a 'whole person'. My youngest son had some hearing problems in nursery and the teachers were so supportive and helpful with this issue. Our experience of Joseph Hood has been very positive and we would recommend it as a great primary school."
"Our children have been at the school for nearly 4 years and have loved every day of them! They are very well cared for, engaged, and are making brilliant progress. It’s clear that the teachers know the children really well and enjoy spending the day with them. Walking around the school, it has a lovely warm atmosphere with happy and friendly children. We have recommended the school to lots of people! I taught in London schools for nearly 10 years and haven’t seen such fantastic Early Years provision anywhere else."
"Joseph Hood is a friendly, warm, caring school. The teachers are hard working and regularly go the extra mile for the children in their care. The school has made the most of the facilities and space that it has and the PTFA worked hard to raise funds to improve the playground equipment. We have been involved with the school for 8 years and have loved seeing the school community grow and with it a sense of pride in the school. We have had an overwhelmingly positive experience at the school."
"I love the school and my children as well. When my daughter started nursery she didn't know a single word in English, but the whole school, from the children to the teachers to the management, supported her so well she never felt like she was left behind and she improved quickly. Being she a Summer baby, learning could have been hard for her, but she's doing so well and the teachers are supporting and encouraging her so much, I couldn't be happier. My son is in nursery now and he literally loves to go, he's also improving so quickly. The whole school is caring and very careful about the children's behaviour and their safety. I love the fact it's like a big family, with all the grown ups, from the lunch helpers to the head teacher, knowing every single child by name. I wouldn't change the school for any reason and I highly recommend it."
