"It's a great school. The front view doesn't do it justice - but don't judge a book by its cover! The staff are great and work so hard to give the kids the best education and opportunities. The new head is so committed to making the school even better. Loads of class trips and fun educational events inside the school too. My kids loved it!"
"My son flourished at King's Oak in a way I didn't think possible. He transferred from a mainstream primary school into the Autism provision unit and made extraordinary progress from the word go. The unit is led and staffed by experienced and committed professionals with access to excellent resources. All of his mainstream teachers have been kind, caring and supportive as well as the vast majority of his classmates. My son made wonderful, lasting friendships at the school and we, as a family, had a very positive experience there."
"My children have attended this school for the past three years. The teachers are dedicated to each child's learning, and are committed to tailor lessons specifically to suit a child's needs. I can't fault the school in any way. The curriculum is always explained to the parents and regular updates are given in the form of coffee mornings and meetings. When the new SATS methods were introduced last year, the staff here went the extra mile and held many parent 'lessons'. Which explained how to could help our children prepare at home. My eldest left the school this year with brilliant SATS results. Last year my youngest daughter had a change over of teachers. The introduction of the new teacher was done over a period of days and hand over was seamless. Well done to the staff at Kings Oak Primary."
"I've never known a more committed, dedicated and passionate team of teachers and staff. Between them, and under the guidance of the Head Teacher, they have turned the school around. I'm proud to say my son goes there. With their expertise, help and support, my child has blossomed. The school has recently undergone extensive building works and now offers an impressive sports field, library, and big, bright, airy classrooms. Don't judge a book by its' cover. Go and see for yourself. It's a wonderful, nurturing, and welcoming school and I'd highly recommend it."
"Our son "Lucas" attended Kings Oak Nursery class for the past 18 months. Lucas was diagnosed with Autism last year, he started nursery as a quite boy who would not speak to any other child in the class. The support that Lucas received was 2nd to none, his teachers really supported him during the past 18 months. Lucas is now a very happy boy who enjoyed his schooling and has come along leaps and bounds. We could not have achieved this level for Lucas without the schools backing. Our older daughter also attended Kings Oak 4 years ago, we moved her to a different school because at the time we felt she was not being challenged enough. What Kings Oak has achieved under Cathy Clark in the past 5 years is incredibly impressive. The school is being driven in the right direction and the quality of teaching has improved immensely. I feel its really important to advertise something when its good, and Kings Oak has really achieved so many things over the past 5 years. Well done to Cathy Clarke and her incredible staff. Keep up the fantastic work."
