"Fantastic place overall, maybe not easy to reach if you don't have a car, but really worth to visit. It is what I would call an authentic UK experience, when you enter the building you time travel in the past with a touch of modern. Each room has its own story, the building and the garden are magnificent, and very well kept. The food is original, and of good taste -- although we found it a bit heavy to digest, but it was fish and chips."
"stayed while on business & arriving to this place is like being at a mansion haha. Long drive with beautifully lit up house. The entrance area is impressive like the rest of the house. Grand staircase with lots of lounges and even a fully stocked library! Impressive in every way. We stayed in the royal suites which are outstanding to say the least. Huge space with seatees and a very comfy bed. Bathroom was also very spacious with a very large bath and shower. Whole room was also spotless bar the table with the tea/coffee which has some bad marks from hot cups. Had a fantastic sleep and breakfast was also very good. Overall, fantastic stay. Definitely be back!"
"A very beautiful hotel and wonderfully decorated for Christmas. Staff very friendly and helpful. I booked the executive room based on reviews I had read before booking. As I was staying for 3 night's it was lovely to have a generous sized room with armchairs to relax in. The bistro was wonderful with a fabulous menu, food was delicious! My only complaint would be that the room I was in was by a door which wasn't soft closing and I got disturbed lots by other guests going back and forth with the door banging closed, was very irritating."
"Had a lovely stay to meet up with the family. Helpful and attentive staff, lovely ambience, although some public rooms were a little cold on arrival for our older family members. Staff were more than happy to resolve. Lovely building, steeped in history. I will definitely be back. Thank you to Lynne for helping make the stay extra special."
