"Used to be a regular customer until I learnt very recently that they employ incompetent staff that can’t tell a 15 year old from a 34 year old. I was asked for ID for IBUPROFEN even after saying I was 34. What underage person is going to try lie about being 34? It’s not a compliment, it’s beyond shocking, insulting and a clear act of discrimination. There’s being overly cautious and then there’s being utterly ridiculous. Think 25 is no excuse in these circumstances. My ID has my personal information on it and I will only share that where it is reasonable and necessary, which, this was not. Someone well into their thirties should not be asked to prove they’re over 16 by incompetent jobsworths that clearly lack common sense. I wouldn’t have been as bothered if it were for alcohol, but ibuprofen? The encounter has left a very, very bitter taste in my mouth. I’m in the process of cancelling my Clubcard and I won’t step foot back in a Tesco store again."
"Stop closing your toilets!! It’s bang out of order to have customer toilets and they are always locked!! Sick of it."
"Visited tonight and all tills were closed at 9pm, this is 4 days before Christmas. We asked politely if we could use a regular till and we were told that our only option was to use the self service checkouts. Forcing your customers to put a £170 shop through the self scan is a really poor customer experience Tesco, particularly at this time of year!"
"Not a single box of lemon and ginger tea in this huge store? It's not OOS...you just don't sell any at all! What a joke"
"Why is there never anyone in the bakery for cutting bread, or even why is the bread not cut already when on display, less hassle for staff that want to skive. Every weekend there is no one there, really pathetic for a big well known store. I found a member of staff who went looking and they found no one trained to operate the bread cutting machine to fix the 'on display bread issue'. In the end I just left the loafs of bread I wanted. Also where is the vinegar about, found pickles but no vinegar, searching and searching, I had a trolley load of messages and I just left it, too much time spent wandering around and waiting. Woman on kiosk was unhelpful also as she said she was busy helping other people at self serve. Even the Tesco extra was more helpful than this... oh and they had sliced bread, smaller shop and less staff does better, that's just stupid."
