"Will not recommend this salon to anyone. Karen made me believe that i need to come to her every 6 weeks for my hair to lift if im wanting blonde highlights. Ridiculous as i have had my hair done from loads of places before. I told her as she was doing my hair that i didnt think theres been much of a difference. No highlights were visible whatsoever. I left being completely convinced that my hair wont lift unless i go to her every month to get highlights done. She knew i wasnt happy with the result but still charged me. When i got home i had also noticed she didnt do my layers properly. Did one side shorter than the other. Actually looked as if shes grabbed chunks of my hair and just cut it. The very next day i contacted another hairdresser who FIXED my hair and gave me exactly what i wanted in ONE bleaching session. Extremely dissappointed at the lack of knowledge this women has in hair colouring yet advertises herself as a 21 years experienced hairdresser. Please do not be fooled. Reply to owner*** My hair is actually not jet black. You are completely aware of that. I came in for a consultation to show you my hair before booking the appt. You yourself told me blonde highlights is something you CAN do. You didnt do anything i asked you to. You probably put only 15 highlights in my whole head. Which is nothing as i said i wanted majority of my hair to be highlighted. And i didnt say i was happy with the result. I told you this isnt what i expected my hair to turn out. It was yourself and the other girl who kept saying its looks lovely. Dont know what youse were looking at as there was no difference in my hair before or after."

"Absolutely terrible. Everyone has been so shocked at my haircut and my 2 year old son's haircut. All I wanted was a simple bob but it was just cut in a line - not even straight - not shaped into my face or anything. She said I needed to get it washed and blow dried for her to do it properly, but I always get a dry cut wherever I go as I have a shower straight after anyway. That's never been an issue/excuse anywhere else. I've never had such a terrible haircut but my son's was even worse. He sat perfectly, didn't move at all but she took random chunks off here and there - it really was awful. I could have done a better job myself. I didn't make a fuss, I just paid and left but we've had to go to another place to get it fixed, which unfortunately meant shaving a lot of my little boys hair off and absolutely not what we wanted when we asked for "just a trim" at Karen Lamonts. My friends were asking me if he had cut his own hair and the hairdresser who sorted it exclaimed "Who did that?!" l've never left a review before but felt I really needed to this time as I don't want others to waste their time and be disappointed. Do not get your hair cut here!"
