Reviews
"We really enjoyed our stay here, though this review is mainly about the food. We treated ourselves to the tasting menu with wine flight and it was all fantastic and excellent value considering the standard of food produced, I believe by Leigh Evans of Masterchef fame. Apparently the fish and chips is also the best you’ll find anywhere! Breakfast was also superb, tasty, plentiful and hot. The staff were all helpful and seemed to genuinely care that our stay was a pleasant and a memorable one, would definitely recommend."
"What a wonderful place to have dinner. The bar, lounge and dining rooms are all beautifully presented with an intriguing mixture of chic and elegance. The service was outstanding. However, the absolute winner was the food. One of the best meals I have had in years. Whilst not the cheapest, you get what you pay for!! We will be back very soon."
"Booked the Bell for a light lunch as we're going away for the night for my husband's 60th birthday. Beautiful building and friendly and helpful staff. The icing on the cake was when they presented him with a Happy Birthday sweet plate. Such a beautiful thought which made his day. Will definitely be back for a main meal. Thank you"
"My husband and I came here for a weekend away and will be back. The hotel is recently renovated and has a fresh and vibrant feel to it that strikes the perfect balance between comfortable and upscale. It is an easy drive to Stonehenge, Salisbury, Bath, Gloucester, Wells, nor are you far from Windsor or Oxford. Te rooms are extraordinarily comfortable with all the expected amenities of an up-scale getaway. We had a lovely view out to Malmesbury Abbey. The town is quaint and quiet enough in the evening so that you can get a good night's sleep. The lounge is cosy, with ample fireplaces, comfortable seating, and a wonderful drinks menu. We ate at Saints and Sinners, the hotel restaurant, and can also recommend it. The breakfast menu has the usual full English and refreshing additions like Turkish eggs. We will be back in the Spring, and can't wait!"
"We had a challenging travel day after getting a flat tire in a nearby village and everything being closed. The exceptional evening reception staff — particularly Jacqueline — provided us with transport options, set aside meals that would keep for us after the kitchen closed and were the most welcoming of greeters when we arrived exhausted late that evening. Truly turned our day around for the better! Wonderful service, beautiful atmosphere with incredible decor details and delicious, well-priced meals. Highly recommended and much appreciated."
