"Disappointing visit late afternoon, wanted dinner for two and drinks but service was really poor, even though only a few people there at that time. Took too long to order drinks at counter. Given menus and chose table. Finished first pint of beer, still no table service to order food. Left in disgust at miserable service, complete change to excellent service received on previous occasions."

"Politely served, food arrived at a pleasant pace ( the restaurant was not busy) garlic mushrooms in cream sauce on a slice of toasted cob (bread) , I personally would have like a toasted portion of Italian style bread, steak ordered blue came rare just as I like it , blue cheese sauce & tiramisu for dessert, I would have liked more coffee in it , my partner had lasagna and was happy with that and was nice and not when served ,2x3 courses came to a an average of £24 a head for food , would return again"
