"Waste of £7k. I have serious concerns on Stephen Jacobs' implants procedures on me and regret ever going to him. I had problems from start to finish, and I still have issues some 4 years on with pain ever since. Jacobs was unable to explain the pain and why right after the procedures an adjacent tooth was now dropping and despite several complaints nothing was done to alleviate either. I asked him what he was going to do about it to which he just said " I'd rather not do anything " , unbelievable. To me he simply appeared to have no interest and was dismissive of my obvious concern. The dropping adjacent tooth ( he corrected me in using the word "dropping" saying the phrase was "drifting", condescending ) Maybe he was just clueless as to why it was all going wrong but either way it's not what I would expect from an implantologist with an associated price tag. The dropping tooth then started twisting in behind one of the crowns as it seems it had nowhere else to go; I had never had a problem with such overcrowding before, ever. The result of the tooth dropping was terrible sensitivity, ( meaning even just breathing in cold weather is painful, never mind drinking anything ) which I still have to this day, and high mobility which I had also never had before the procedure. All he did was drill enamel off the end of the tooth to cosmetically level it to match the other side but done nothing to stop it continuing to drop meaning I had to get this done on the NHS, a straight forward and quick splint procedure, and although the dropping of the tooth was stopped the sensitivity will never be alleviated. Another point was that one of the implant crowns was also clearly too long but rather than arrange for a better fitting one to be produced he simply drilled enamel off the opposite lower tooth, sounds more like maximum profit for minimum effort to me. From the beginnings of the whole procedure I should have trusted my instincts - the temporary denture was too wide meaning I had to go back as my teeth were forced to move sideways when I had to forcibly squeeze it in I'm the morning but he failed to even get that right meaning I had to alter it again myself to avoid yet another journey across Glasgow for what should have been a basic procedure. I fully believe that this measurement mistake was followed through to the final crown fitting which caused ill fitment and subsequent twisting of an adjacent tooth. I had to go to other dentists, both private and NHS, for pain I was getting from adjacent teeth, who told me the implant crowns were too wide which I fully believe is true. He simply denied this was the case saying that these other dentists were "clutching at straws". At least they provided me with some kind of explanation/theory, more than he seemed to provide by just saying he didn't know. I am £7000 out of pocket and have issues I didn't have before, including years of pain, stress, frustration and worry not to mention a squint, lowered tooth which is very apparent in photos etc. Going to him was one of the biggest mistakes of my life and certainly the biggest waste of money. I have no trust in private dentistry now. Rather than making complaints to him which made no difference, I should have just went straight to the DCS but unfortunately I found out I had left it too late for this. All I can do now is post my disgust at this whole experience and suggest others consider going elsewhere to avoid what I have, and still am, going through."

"Recently had treatment in this surgery due to a shortage of Dental cover in my own practice in Kirkintilloch. The staff were so attentive and friendly. I was met by Jackie who immediately made me feel welcome, I was in extreme pain and anxious about being in a new environment. Nahida treated my mouth, I found her warm and very natural, she explained the process in full to me and was very aware of my discomfort and pain that I was experiencing. I popped in over three days in total and would highly recommend anyone to join if they are in search of a good practice in that area. Many thanks again to Jackie and Nahida for your kindness and help."
"A very welcoming dental surgery to visit. Beautifully and tastefully decorated in the reception, waiting area and the surgeries. The staff are friendly and helpful and I've always been very happy with the treatment received from Dr Jacobs. Question and enquiries are answered professionally - obviously the staff all know what they're talking about. Highly recommended."
"Best thing I've ever done for me personally was to go see Steven Jacobs about implants. For as long as I can remember I've been terrified of "the dentist" however, Steven and his team made me feel so completely at ease from the first time I met them until my dental work was completed by explaining everything that was going to happen to me as we went along the course of the treatment. I can honestly say that my treatment was almost painless even though it was extensive. Everyone of the staff from receptionists to dental staff are friendly and will do their utmost to give you help and advice. I would recommend Dental FX as the best dental experience I have ever had."
