Reviews
"Ok place for a walk that's close to the city centre. Beware of dog mess all over the place though."
"A great walk along the banks of the Mersey down as far as Liverpool Airport and Speke Hall. At the end are the concrete taxiways of the old airport which are excellent for a quick game of football! Beware the limited parking at busy times (hence the 4 stars above rather than 5)."
"Visited on the off chance and found it a very peaceful walk with great views of the sea. There's the main walking route with very wide paths or you can venture off slightly with little walkways through the grasslands which can make things more interesting. Some free parking is available although where we parked there was no more than 15 spaces available. They are all unmarked so people waste the spaces. Only a couple of pictures taken but a good place to walk the dog or just for a stroll. Happy walking!"
"First visit to reserve. Reserve was formerly the old Speke airport and there is a road (old runway ) from reserve to Liverpool Sailing Club. It was a quick visit as there is no facilities, only a very small carpark. The views over the River Mersey are wonderful."
"Low-key, off the beaten track type of walk along the riverside. There are two gravel paths leading from the free, small car park; one is wider, but further away from the shoreline. Lots of wild flora, if that's your thing."
