Reviews
"One of my favourite bars for all the years I've lived in Edinburgh. Great array of local and regional drinks that rotate regularly. Calm, casual no nonsense vibe. Friendly staff who are good chat."
"Great pub, amazing choice of ales and ciders. Staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable and also great with local knowledge. Also helped when we left our glasses in the pub after one too many. Thank you."
"Great range of beers and friendly bar. Well worth a visit and only 20 walk from Princess Street."
"Good selection of ales, beers and lager and the whisky selection looked pretty decent. Prices were good and it was fairly bright and open. As a non-local I'm not sure it felt overly welcoming, it wasn't hostile just wasn't friendly and was perhaps more of a local bar than some others in the area. Perhaps it warms up a bit depending on the crowd that is in and I wouldn't discount going back but it may not be my first choice."
"One of the very few spots I really 100% enjoyed in Scotland. Only craft references (beer for sure, I don't know about the spirits), 6 casks, 10ish on draught, old beer mirrors and a place crowded with both locals and visitors. Publicans know their beers. Feels like home. Worth the trip."
