About the Business
The Banshee Labyrinth, located in the heart of Edinburgh, is a unique and fascinating institution that seamlessly blends history, culture, and entertainment. Built in the late 1700s, the building served as a storage facility and horse stable before being transformed into one of the most popular bars and nightclubs in the city.
The Banshee Labyrinth is more than just your typical bar or nightclub β it is a one-of-a-kind establishment that has something for everyone. The venue features several rooms and levels, each with its own distinct character and atmosphere. The main bar area is a cozy space that features exposed stone walls, flickering candles, and comfortable seating. The perfect spot to enjoy a drink or catch up with friends.
Venture deeper into the labyrinth and you'll discover some truly unique spaces. There's a Gothic-style cinema room where you can catch cult classics, horror films, and independent cinema. Additionally, there's a performance space that hosts live music, comedy, and theater performances. The Banshee Labyrinth is the perfect spot to discover new artists or see your favorite performers up close and personal.
Perhaps the most intriguing feature of The Banshee Labyrinth is its rich history and legendary folklore. The building is said to be haunted by the restless spirit of a young girl named Annie, who was killed by her own father in the building's vaults over 200 years ago. Her ghost has been sighted by staff and visitors alike, making The Banshee Labyrinth a must-visit spot for ghost hunters and lovers of the paranormal.

"Absolutely LOVED our night out here. So glad we found it. Great cocktails, atmosphere and friendly staff. Karaoke too! And spent a while in the cinema, which was fab, albeit a bit creepy lol can't wait to come back on out next visit to Edinburgh."
"An amazing horror pub in Edinburg. Very good music, great environment. Only things that I did not like were a cocktail which was not good and the service of a girl. Nevertheless, having beers here is awesome."
"The best rock bar in Edinburgh. It's in the old town side, within walking distance from the centre. Great atmosphere and vibes, the prices are great. The staff were nice to me. I love the decoration and the music being played. Also they have a cinema inside. It's a must visit if you're in town. Cheers ."
"Got here right at opening so not sure what the late night scene is like but this place was fantastic to wander around in and have a drink in fun room. Saw a band setting up in one room, watched part of Flash Gordon in the theater had a drink in a purple corridor right outside a for-hire bar that looked amazing for a private party. I'll have to come back another time later in the night and wearing black clothes so I fit in more!"
