"Probably the worst customer service I’ve had at a Starbucks. I came to the counter and stood back and said I wasn’t sure what I wanted yet. I asked if they had hot chocolate and they said yes. I said I couldn’t find it on the menu and looked at the employee, and they said nothing. I looked back and repeated this statement and looked back to the employee only to be met with radio silence again, and impatient look on their face. I finally gave up and blindly ordered three hot chocolates not having any idea of the cost because the employee offered no help. As I was ordering another customer in the next line had come in and was ordering a white chocolate hot chocolate. I asked the employee helping me if I could change my large hot chocolate to a medium and she rolled her eyes and went to put the large cup back on the stack. I motioned her to keep it and I’d order another because she had obviously strained herself by the effort it took to grab the cup in the first place. No, I didn’t say this but it’s what she acted like. Why else would you treat a customer so poorly? I needed help finding an item not on the menu but frequently served at coffe houses and I quickly asked for a size change before anything had been made or paid for. She didn’t even offer me a receipt and ignored me once I had tapped my card. I didn’t ask for anything complicated, I wasn’t rude, or demanding but this employee acted like it was a huge burden to help me. Isn’t that their job? Upstairs is a restroom and a large seating area. It was pretty bustling that day, although no one was in line when I walked to the counter to order. It’s next door to the makers market in the Tron Kirk and the seating area has a nice view from the windows."
"Nice location, comfy place with great view in royal mile. however, coffee was burnt, ordered a hot chocolate with cream but no cream."
"I love the ambience in the first floor. The window seats in the first floor are just simply the best spot to seat still and appreciate the beauty of the city. Queue can be busy at times and be crowded in the ground floor when ordering. Photos taken are in different dates."
"It's a Starbucks... You like it or you don't... Staff are nice and the view to Royal Mile make it special... Doesn't matter if you outside or inside upstairs at the windows..."
"Nice coffee shop on the Royal Mile. I popped in early morning for a coffee and something to eat before a work event. I was served very quickly. Seating is located upstairs and there is a reasonable amount available but if its busy you wouldn't know if there was any space until you get there. I'm not sure if they have a system in place to control or advise of that prior to ordering to sit in during busier periods but it wasn't a problem when I visited."
