"It's such a magical place! Everyone knows each other, it's like a big family. It has a charm that I have never experienced. The place indoors is being remodeled, outside seating is so comfortable that I didn't want to leave, there's a covered area in case of some rain, there are tables out in the open, toilet was clean and tidy. The food was delicious, the staff so friendly and approachable... I can't wait to be back!"
"Our family used this establishment for a wake in the celebration of the life of Gordon shepherd ( shep ) . Ferdous did the food for us and to say there was rather a lot of it would be an understatement. It just kept comming we had to tell him to stop bringing it from the kitchen . The food was delicious and made fresh and from scratch. I would recommend this establishment to any one who loves to eat . The atmosphere was perfect and very friendly. Thankyou to Ferdous at the olive tree for all his help in making a sad and stressful time run as smooth and seamless as possible. Thanks from all the laird and shepherd family."
"Our first Scottish pub experience.. and we loved it. We walked into what seemed to be a private party but were welcomed in. Like Davie (out new Scottish friend) said, "Edinburgh is for tourists, THIS is real Scotland""
"Really good food at very reasonable prices. Weren't sure what to expect here, with mixed reviews but we're pleasantly surprised. Welcomed with a red rose for we 3 ladies ( it was Valentine's Day), and surprised with a bowl of delicious olives and yummy Garlic Bread. The remaining meal was equally delicious, but such big serves, we couldn't eat it all. Definitely will return, and can recommend. Sure, very cluttered, and needs a good clean in parts, but certainly good value for money. Just try it!!"
"It is certainly a different experience. And cheap. The dining room is cluttered with knick-knacks, all of which are covered in dust, the seats covered in crumbs and the whole place generally dirty. Food is tasty and portions generous, but not an inviting environment."
