"Really good value for money. Great location for front (c.10-15 minute walk) and town (15-20 minute walk). Lovely views available from bar and terrace. Helpful and friendly service. Food and drinks available on site. Room was a bit tired but clean and personally my shower worked well. Dog friendly with a nice park next door with dog bins."

"Went here for a wedding, not the first time here for a wedding . May I add. Overall, the day was well planned and went very smoothly. Was a bit of a random gap in between reception and food. But it was a pleasant day. First time here as a gluten-free vegetarian, and I wasn't overly impressed with the food. Neither were the other vegetarians on my table. The dish seemed thrown together with what tasted like microwavable rice. The ain't meal for everyone else looked absolutely amazing. Full Christmas style meal with all the veg you could have wanted. Overall, it is a great venue in a great location with pretty good food and staff."

"Have stayed many times here both for business and pleasure and always happy with the service. Lovely old hotel with great views (from some rooms) across the water. Some of the top floor rooms are a bit small but not excessive. Lounge bar nice and the breakfast is hot, fresh and very good quality....makes a change to get good coffee instead of instant!"

"We had our wedding in August with Walton Park Hotel and we were so glad we picked this venue. Thank you Kat and the whole team! It was an absolutely stunning venue, the team were fantastic through the planning and day and the set up was done so seamlessly. Everyone was impressed by the wonderful location and beautiful views. We had an outdoor ceremony which was beautiful. It was incredibly hot so we did move inside and had our evening do in the upstairs room, which was a beautiful space for the reception. The food was lovely, we had a more contemporary menu with a choice and everyone loved the food. We did have a last minute change to the vegan menu which caused some confusion for those guests and would have been good to have been informed of before the meal, otherwise the food was a massive hit! Most of our guests stayed at least one night, which made it so easy for the day itself, aircon or more fans would have been useful as a lot of our guests struggled to sleep as there weren’t enough fans to go around the rooms but it was very unusual heat for an English summer! Throughout the whole process, Kat and her team have been helpful, kind and accommodating. The venue was beautiful and unique, the food incredibly delicious. Walton Park is a massively hidden wedding venue gem… incredibly affordable for an amazing service and experience. We so highly recommend and plan to come back for meals/ nights again!"
