"Rather disappointing visit for a carvery. Service was slow, food was tasteless. No gammon. Empty cranberry and apple sauce. Gravy had very little flavour. All the food just seemed boring and without the cranberry and apple I couldn’t save it myself. Was just eating for the sake of removing my hunger. Music was an odd choice of dance music but the speaker above us didn’t work. The cider was 20p more expensive than the menu Real shame as all other Toby’s I’ve been to have been great Wouldn’t return to this Toby carvery"

"I'm from Birmingham and was visiting friends and we decided to go to the carvery on a Saturday. It wasn't too busy, the food was great and it's perfect that you can go up for more sides because the potato gratin was amazing! The atmosphere was nice and cozy and our waitress Danni was so nice and very attentive. One member of our party had a nut allergy and Danni made sure to check before we could even mention it, and they carefully explained that because it's not an allergen kitchen they couldn't rule out cross contamination, but that's the case everywhere, except they don't usually tell you that, so well done to Danni. They did a great job at explaining how it works since some of us had never had one before and they were able to give us great recommendations so again, well done to them for the great product knowledge. I had a great time and would go there again next time I'm in Bristol."

"What you expect from a Toby Carvery really but very impressed with the staff. Very attentive and very good and quick to deliver. There weren't many people in so the atmosphere was very quiet. Overall, it was good value for money and we had a really good meal"

"Went in for a birthday meal with family. Seated promptly, drinks orders taken immediately, order came with 1 drink wrong but immediately fixed no issues. Ordered the calzone off the festive menu, unfortunately the menu missed cranberry off the description, and I don't like it at all so unfortunately had to ask the waitress if I could just go for carvery, she was so apologetic for something that totally wasn't her fault, just a oversight on the menu that unfortunately made it inedible for me personally. Great service from the young lady throughout. Food wasn't the best Toby has done.. a lot of the food was quite dry and had clearly been there a while, especially the gratin and the macaroni, and the Cauliflower cheese was quite hard so not boiled for long enough. Dessert very much made up for it though, apple and plum crumble which was brilliant!"
