"I go there for swimming and both the main pool and training pool are immaculate. All the staff are helpful and nice and the price is not too bad for a swim either."
"Great gym. We went for a look around, and we were told where everything was. We then booked in for an induction, which was the following day. Before we started the induction, we had to fill in a form about our health status. Be classed as disabled. We use the lift to take us to the first floor. We were shown around the fitness suite. Each of the pieces of equipment were demonstrated to us so we would be able to use them straight away. There are also instructions on the equipment. We were reassured that there were always instructors to ask if we were unsure. On the tour, we also showed where the pools were. There are two pools, one teaching pool and a full-size one. The full-size one has a long ramp, which is great for disabled people to gain access to the pool. This means a person in a wheel chair, could be pushed down the ramp in a special wheelchair. This is a great bonus!!. There is a squash court, a spin room, and a large indoor gym that can be used for many activities. There are smaller rooms available for other activities. In the main entrance area, there are sofas to unwind on, a mini jungle gym for the youngster's, it is not supervised by gym staff. The whole gym is welcoming, as are the staff. There are many supervised classes that are included in memberships. There are a variety of memberships to suitable for everyone. Finally, after your work out and you're a bit peckish, there's a cafe area with hot and cold snack and a range of drinks and sweets. If you decide to join, you may need to show proof of address. Or, if you claim certain benefits, you may need to show proof. Go on, give it a go, and you'll enjoy yourself."
"Swimming lessons are not appropriate just a waste of time for kids and loss of money for parents. Kids don't allow to progress whilst it is obvious that priority is given to other professional swimming teams that they seem to let the facilities! The kids although old enough to swim in the main pool continuously kept in the small pool and are not allowed to progress. I believe they have no idea of what swimming lessons mean!"
"Whilst the facilities look good, we did not have a pleasant experience. We were there for a dance competition. Half the car park, if not more, had been closed off to us as it was reserved for gym members. We'd paid over forty pounds to attend the competition and could not park. One gym member parked up in acres of space. Hundreds of competitors driving around the local area trying to find somewhere to leave their car! Staff seemed unable to cope with the number teams and competitors. "What? This is just one team!" Is just one snippet of an overheard comment. If the centre isn't wanting to accommodate competitors then they shouldn't take payment for hosting a competition. We will not attend competitions at this venue again."
"Great place has a gym and swimming pool. Ideal for kids."
