"I personally love the place. Good atmosphere and people who go there are pleasant. Food quality is pretty good, especially for Glasgow standards. Only downside for me is a few members of the staff who I don’t find fitting. But overall I am satisfied with my visits all the time. Do not recommend beef tartare, it’s lacking in flavor and serving. Love vote for quick lunch."
"Nice place for a relaxed breakfast. My daughter was delighted with the kid's French toast with fruit. I enjoyed the French version of their cooked breakfast. Great coffee. Very friendly service. The kids activity pack with a French language twist was fun."
"We had a really nice experience at Cote Glasgow, and we will go back when in Glasgow again. We went before going to the Theatre. We arrived on time and were warmly greeted, and taken to be seated and were given a choice of 2 tables to sit at. Our server was Kieran, who was professional and had a good sense of humour and was attentive. In fact all the staff were very nice, attentive & professional. The restraunt had a nice ambiance and atmosphere. All the food we had over the 3 courses was very nice. The time between ordering and each course being served, was almost perfectly timed. We had Calemari & Crab Maison for starters. Both were excellent. We had a Fouggasse bread with the starters which was really nice , but could have been a little crisper for our taste and it was a lot bigger than we expected. Fish Parmentier & 10oz Ribeye for Mains with sides of French Beans & Potato Gratin. The mains were very nice. We finished off with Creme Caramel and Praline Crepe. Creme Caramel was enjoyed, but I found the Crepe to be far too sweet for my taste. My only criticism would be about the Optional Gratuity, that was not optional. When we arrived we were told it was payment by card only, which was fine. We enjoyed everything with the meal and our time in Cote, so we wanted to leave a 15% tip, but when I asked if we could add that on to the bill, I was told it was not necessary as there was a 12.5% optional gratuity added already to the bill. It can't be optional if it's already added without being asked. We did not notice this on the bill, as we thought it was good value, and we were prepared to add 15% on top of the bill total for the excellent food and service. If it is optional as it states, then please ask the patrons before adding it to the bill, otherwise it's not optional. having said that the staff thoroughly deserve it. but others who maybe are on a budget might not appreciate it, as there is no mention of it anywhere on the website nor on the menu that I could see. The only place I found it, was on the bottom of the receipt stating the website and service charge. If i had known or been informed, I would have happily asked for it to have the gratuity changed to 20%, but that should be our option. Can't wait to go back."
"Generous sized starters. We had the chicken liver pate and calamari. Next was the tuna Niçoise salad and cassoulet. The salad was a bit disappointing for the price, more salad ingredients would have been better. The cassoulet was tasty and a good portion size but the Toulouse sausage tasted and looked like Matheson smoked garlic sausage. The cassoulet sauce was more tomatoey than I have ever had before, I am used to a white bean sauce. The wine was lovely and we had a cheese board and an old fashioned French digestif at the end. They were both yummy. Total bill including a tip was £100, we shared a bottle of red Corbières. Overall the staff were lovely, atmosphere was nice, very clean restaurant and enjoyable food. I would go back."
"I enjoyed. The atmosphere was jolly and the service friendly and efficient. A great city centre location and the venue has the appearance of a French brasserie. The uniforms were not entirely as one might expect in France and some of the menu items were not entirely in keeping - Gin and Tonic, Port or Cafe Anericain - but on the whole good value for money and the experience."
