Reviews
"Tasting menu and the paired wines (we also took the extra cheese course and some nice port they recommended). Very enjoyable meal - decided on here due to other positive reviews, particularly feedback on his other restaurant Haar. Lovely setting in the hotel. My partner is Coeliac and they adapted all her dishes to be gluten free (she claims it was the best G/F bread she's ever had!). Tables are well spaced out, so you don't feel like you're sitting on top of each other. Staff were all attentative and knowledgeable about what they were serving - the Head Chef even came out with one course. It felt very relaxed in the restaurant, there was no rushing us. Be aware, there is a service charge (12.5%) automatically applied to the bill. I don't like the presumption of this, but I think the service was worth it (but at the customer's discretion)."
"Total rip off. Been to many posh restaurants, Michelin stars etc. the food is good, obviously. Master chef finalist, I wouldn’t expect less. Dean Banks is not a fully established Michelin star chef yet but charges more than other rates restaurants I’ve been to. Won’t be back"
"My wife took me for a surprise birthday treat. Wow wow wow. The welcome was very warm our servers were knowledgeable and attentive. The tasting menu and matching wines were quite stunning. The portions were not huge as you would expect but you still left feeling very satisfied. Yes it's expensive. However its a treat. We will be back for sure. Highly recommended."
