"We came as part of a spa package - despite the restaurant being almost empty we were squeezed onto a table right by the door instead of by the windows and the lovely view. Everything ordered took a very long time to arrive - for some reason we repeatedly watched waiters delivering dishes to small tables in the corridor outside the restaurant and leaving them there for anything up to to ten minutes before taking them to diners while guests and staff walked back and forth past them. There were several occasions when there were no staff at all in the restaurant for extended periods of time, meaning that customers arriving were standing around confused before eventually giving up and seating themselves. The staff member who seemed to be in charge continuously coughed and hawked up phlegm without covering her mouth, and another had what we were pretty sure was blood on her collar."
"I have made a reservation for lunch for my partners birthday. This place has a potential as location is beautiful however waiters and waitresses require basic service training to start with. The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived, two small tables were occupied. We were sitted at the table just next to the entrance, cushions on chairs were dirty. We placed the order. Water for the table arrived fast however there was far longer wait for 2 glassess of Proseco which arrived just before starters. Portion size on a small side, visually not appealing, ordinary taste. I had a burger for the main course which was chewy, knife was very blunt so had a hard time cutting food into pieces. One part of the bun was barely warm, the other was cold as being taken out from the fridge a minute before serving. We asked for sauces which were literally droped directly on a table in single use pouches. Not the most polite. Nobody ever checked on our table even once, nobody cleared out plates post main meal or asked if we would like more drinks or desserts. I had to attract attention to one of the girls to ask for coffee and the bill to be served at the same time. I asked for 2 flat white coffees, we got a coffee more reminding cappucino and no bill. Coffee was served on a table where still dirty dishes were present post main course, empty water glassess and empty proseco glassess. Nothing was cleared up. We finished coffeess and I went to the counter to pay. I had to wait for a print out, paid and then I heard from the waitress "that now I can go". No manners whatsoever. I do not recommend this place."
"Where to start... Staff were untrained. They were all young, clearly hadn't been there that long & didn't really know what they were doing. They also lacked manners. And there was no one senior to supervise. We'd paid for afternoon tea as part of a package deal with the spa (I recommend the spa), one of the staff asked us without a preamble if we wanted the bill! No: "how was your afternoon tea?, Everything ok?" He walked straight up to the table & asked us if we wanted the bill. Another staff also said to us: "Well you can just leave then" after she'd asked us if we wanted anything else. The staff were very unprofessional. The cups were also dirty. The food was ok. Standard afternoon tea. The profiteroles were different & stood out. The variety of teas available was refreshing. I definitely won't be going back."
"Portions a bit small and bland for the price and dishes not very visually appealing."
"Delicious food, great customer service! Yummy deserts!"
