"I was recommended to use this company by friends and been very disappointed. I was recommended to A&E leisure and should have used another company instead. Had to contact A&E leisure repeadatly for more than YES SIX months trying to book & fit my Telair roof AC. I had been given a quote 5/6 months prior from service department and only paid my £500 deposit around six weeks prior to installation for A&E to order the parts which was okay. Finally recieved a install date July 2022, so we travelled up the night before and stayed at a local nearby campsite so we could arrive at A&E for 8am. Finally we where getting our AC fitted after a very long wait, at the same time, I had seen my Thetford 12v fridge fault code which they are repair agents, I therefore asked if they would look at my thetford fridge 12v issue and I could pay the whole invoice when collecting my motorhome for ANY REPAIRS carried out, I was travelling to France one month later and needed the 12v on fridge to work. TELAIR 8400H AC was fitted pretty good and works great no complaints...however engineer spent two/three hours plus trying to fault find my 12v fridge fault and actually in the process caused two electrical lighting faults when we collected the motorhome. 1,spot light right side headboard not working. Just to confirm to anyone reading this, the night before the left headboard spot on wifes side was working fine. We know 100% because she always reads her books in bed whist we where at the nearby campsite we stayed the night before, the top right side led was also working fine. There is power to both units, but both the led spot and roof light slightly flicker as if there is a short and will not light up or come on. Only after A& E leisure engineer been messed around with the 12v electric system, the fridge the awning lights & sargent ec500 panel. Both the bed spot light no longer works, also on the same 12v lighting circuit, my left side roof led no longer works too and my fridge was actually NEVER even repaired after all. We only noticed the light issues back at the campsite that night when we needed the night lights where on. Next day was a Sunday so I tried to call them on Monday, post covid a nightmare to answer the phones waiting ring ring ring constant.Tried more than six times to call them and I have been so fed up with such poor service now I decided to review my true experience instead months later. Reason why I am truly disappointed with A& E leisure, they charged me £90 for the engineer to fault find and try to fix my fridge yet could not fix it...they stated that they tried to change a control panel but did not match or could not fix my fridge and promised once the following Monday speaking with Thetford engineers to find out why the fault still exists, they would call me asap to see what cause of action was to be done and to come back up to A& E leisure to fix the fridge and lights...off course suprise suprise I never did get a call back from anyone at A&E and i log all my calls. Overall I feel let down by A& E by lack of communication & poor customer service, I should have called another company."
"In the past we have purchased a few things from AE Leisure, they have a well stocked shop (which is especially good if you want to look at awnings that are actually pitched) from which we have purchased several things. This summer I decided to use the workshop to fit a new leisure battery to my camper van, and to install a solar panel on the roof. We had a good range to choose from and lots of useful advice so we were confident with our purchase. Unfortunately, during fitting there was some accidental damage to the trim in the van. You could at this point think that this is a bad review. However, in my experience what sorts the good companies from the average, is how you are treated when there is a problem. We were told very quickly that there was an issue and not asked to pay for the work until repairs were completed to a very high standard (you would never know anything happened). In the end I had to negotiate the price up that we were finally charged as I felt the level of discount we were offered for the inconvenience was excessive! We were really well looked after and the whole thing was handled really well. Would I use AE again? Yes absolutely. Would I recommend them to others based on my experience? Yes absolutely. I am sure if you use them, everything will be absolutely fine. However, its good to know that in the one case in god knows how many where there is a problem, they will do a really good job of sorting it out."
