"Could do with more bins, but apart from that. It's lovely! Great place to walk the dog"
"Lovely nature reserve with lots of trails and small ponds, will be fabulous in spring/summer for a bit of bird spotting It also leads into Carr Vale nature reserve again lovely trail beside the lake, its not a circular route but still well worth the walk"
"Lovely walking along wooded pathways with pond and lakes. Lots of well established trees. Plenty of nature. Small free car park. Bird hides. Good chunky, solid benches dotted around the paths and there are a few picnic benches hither and thither. Enjoyed my time in this peaceful, green, wooded haven. Only slight negative - the information boards are so grimy black and clarted up, it really makes it difficult to read what information is on them."
"We started in this nature reserve and extended into the neighbouring one. Car park isn't massive and needs a bit of a tidy up... Nice little walk but didn't see much as a fair bit overgrown. Would have been nice for a bit more info on Peter Fidler, perhaps it's there and we just missed it?!"
"Great spot to start your journey for Carr Vale nature reserve and Stockley Trail where you can get some great views of Bolsover Castle. Pathways are very good and the whole trek is lined with trees full of twittering birds. Allow around 3 hours including pauses for photographs and a quick bite to eat. Plenty of benches and seating with tables."
