"I ordered an Indian Summer, extra large bouquet from Joan's Florist for my best friend's 60th birthday, to be delivered on the day she was having a special celebration dinner, intending the gorgeous bouquet shown on Joan's website, a Teleflora creation with orange/yellow roses, red oak leaves, red roses and fushia roses, red berries, and other vivid fall colors (check the site for the bouquet depicted for comparison), very striking as pictured, very full and bright. What was delivered was what you see below; no orange/yellow roses, no oak leaves, no red roses, just a bland, pink bouquet, sparse and a size smaller than what I paid for to add insult to injury. As soon as I was sent a picture, the day of delivery, I tried to email Joan's to ask for an explanation and the correct bouquet. This was for a special birthday, a special catered dinner with a marque and my friend will only have one 60th birthday, after all. I am in the USA, so I was aware that there is a time difference. My email was undelivered for some reason, so I tried to ring Joan's, it being still during opening hours. No answer. I tried emailing from another server, in case there was an issue with overseas email...still undelivered. I finally emailed Teleflora and roughly five days later I received a reply telling me that they would replace the bouquet. At that point it was too little too late! The day had passed, the party was over, the birthday gift I thought would delight her to add decoration to her elegant table settings was a moot point by then. I never received an explanation from Joan's nor an apology. No contact from Joan's whatsoever. Just Teleflora, whom I finally asked to refund my money, having learned my lesson. The reason I chose Joan's was that the shop was the closest to my friend's home which should have made delivery and any corrections easy and timely, and that I chose a Teleflora bouquet which was supposed to be created to a brand standard. I couldn't have been more disappointed with this experience and am saddened that I have to leave a bad review. Had Joan's even attempted to contact me to offer some explanation or alternative that could have helped me to understand the reason for sending a smaller-than-paid-for bouquet lacking the elements pictured on Joan's website yet Joan's couldn't be bothered to make that simple effort to fix what was clearly their mistake. It was a bad experience all the way around and to take so long for Teleflora to offer to replace it was poor customer service. I wish I had chosen another florist, even further away, so my birthday present to my best friend had no been ruined."
