"Go skating here with the kids every week. Costs less than some of the other rinks and is a really good size that you have space to practice without bumping into other people. The ice arena is cold and while that may seem to be stating the obvious, it's much colder than others I've been in so gloves are in order if you don't want to end up with numb hands! My only issue with The Peak is that for some reason the reception queue moves incredibly slowly, despite them having 2 - 3 people on, it can take over 5 minutes to get through even a small, queue so give yourself some additional time on arrival."
"Clean and clear pool, well maned by staff. The showers and wet areas are very clean and well kept. Shona the cleaner does a great job looking after the facilities, she is friendly and helpful too"
"Great fitness centre, you get so much for your membership: gym, pool, climbing wall, ice skating, sauna, fitness classes etc."
"Went skating with my young girls and although its wasnt too busy the stewards are not the best. Both my girls fell repeatedly and despite obviously struggling just to stand the stewards offered no help, they just watched as they fell and got hurt, then just stood them up and skated off to catch up on whatever they were yapping about. Surely if they can skate they could at least show learners how to stay on thier feet? Fortunately there are a few good skaters there that did offer some helpful tips and the girls soon picked it up but shame on those stewards. We have since been to Braehead Arena and it was a world of difference. Amazingly helpful staff and have now booked lessons there as Stirling staff need learn some people skills. The stewards may not enjoy their job but at least they have one and catching up on last nights gossip is not part of it. Shameful. Hope the Peak management take note."
"A well presented place that looks the part. We went swimming here but my god the water was Baltic in the main pool. For the price paid I’m sure they could turn it up a couple degrees in there. It ended up we moved over into the training pool which was substantially warmer. The changing rooms were well presented and there is a sauna and steam room etc in the changing area which I’m sure is lovely but as we had the little person with us we couldn’t try it out. The showers are all private and enclosed so you have the privacy to wash properly which isn’t normally the case at swimming pools so that’s quite handy."
