Reviews
"We went for our wedding anniversary. We used to live in Paris and spoke French but none of the staff did. We were met by a stony faced female. She neither heard nor reacted to any of my requests. However when my husband asked she reacted. The rest of the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food was good. You have to book and be exactly on time or you will be given short shrift."
"Very tasty French food with generous portions. All dishes have a lovely blend of flavours, and are well balanced. The desserts are quite average, so we opted to skip them the second time we visited. The service is minimal, and this is reflected in the lack of service charge. Although the price of the meal overall would be about the same for a restaurant of similar quality with service charge."
"Really nice place. It's not inexpensive. The prices are quite high, at least for my budget. Fixed price- 28.50 for two course. 34.50 for three course. And the alcohol is expensive too. But if you want to have a high-end dinner in Oxford and you have the money to spend, this is a fantastic choice. Good location- Little Clarendon Street. Lots of seating space. Ground floor, outdoors, upper floors. Very well maintained. Helpful, friendly staff. The food is delicious. The portions are good, especially for the main course. I tried a lot of the dishes and everything tasted superb."
"We had a nice dinner! It was Sunday evening, we walked in with no reservation. They told us that they’re fully booked tonight however there is a spot for only an hour now. It actually worked perfectly for us! Everything was very tasty and served at the perfect time. Great service!"
"Heard it's one of the best French restaurant in town. We made a reservation for dinner and by the time we got there, the restaurant was fully packed. We were served with some bread and butter. They were really yummy. I ordered 2 courses meal, entree and main course both were vegetarian. The entree was roasted parsnips on pastry puff with balsamic dressing. It was nice and I had this three beans curry with couscous. The taste was just ok but the portion was big."
