"Honestly, where do I begin? Upon arrival there was no staff to greet you on reception and then the lifts! Yes, the dodgy lifts! We got stuck for 25 minutes in a lift between floors 5/6. We pressed the emergency bell to which someone responded, but they couldn't hear us, so what was the point in this emergency feature? Clearly this has not been tested and maintained. We ended up calling the emergency services. The hotel mechanic eventually got us out, who gave no indication he was there, even though we were yelling for help. After getting out, we no longer wanted to go in the lift and asked where the stairs were...he ignored us! So I asked him again and he eventually pointed in a direction. We lugged our bags to the correct floor and then we couldn't get through the doors as the key cards did not work! At this point we were all shaken, in shock, and quite frankly annoyed. I then left my family and had to leg it down 6 flights of stairs to an emergency exit to get to the reception! The manager was pretty useless and didn't listen to me telling him the faults with the lift and that I had contacted the emergency services. This was evident when the emergency services turned up and he asked me if I had called them...I told him twice that I had! The only helpful thing he did was change our rooms to a lower floor as my Mam cannot walk up stairs very well due to health conditions and we didn't want to go in the lift. The rooms were nice. Then the evening meal was disgusting and tasted like perfume. Not to mention they had no forks left and refused to wash any, so provided us with wooden ones! What is the point in that? The staff were not that accomodating. I have to say one lady on reception was lovely, but the rest need customer service and hospitality training that's for sure. The hotel also stunk. I really wouldn't recommend this places at all. Quite a shame as the rooms were nice but that's about it. To top it all off, the chair in my room, I sat on it and fell backwards! The screws were loose and the chair just tipped! Very unimpressed. Avoid at all costs!"

"I have been absolutely mortified with my stay at this place . I have had a serious bout of beg bug bites from room number 107. I have been staying here since Tuesday last week and noticed bites on my wrist and fingers starting Thursday, I didn’t realise what it was until my reaction to the bites flared up on Saturday and by then it was too late . The damage was already done and I was bitten all over by bed bugs . On bringing this up to the hotel reception, they just claimed the rooms had nothing and that they have been cleaned . They refused to acknowledge the damage caused and the health risks posed to me as an occupant of their hotel . I am definitely going to take this up personally to sue them for health and safety issues and not taking their customers seriously when such a grave complaint is made . I am appalled by the behaviour and the response of the hotel staff."

"Disabled bathroom floods completely to the door, fridge didn't work, asked for all my details and drivers licence and pass port?! I'm booked in with a company and have stayed there countless times over the past 6 years. Bit worried about them having all my details like that, parking issues with staff even tho it was booked with parking till the manager got involved. Very dusty hair filled carpets. It used to be a nice stay but seems the staff have become a bit stuck up and rooms dated."

"In a good location with easy access to shops and transport. The walls are a bit thin so you're subjected to external noise such as those in the other rooms talking or raising their blinds. There also aren't any kitchen facilities in the rooms except for a fridge and tea station so you'll have to go downstairs to the front desk to heat food but staff was helpful and polite. Housekeeping is good as well. I even got to check out late. Not a bad experience overall."

"The Hyatt Place West London, was a little disappointing. Even though there’s free parking a walk away from the hotel customers could benefit from free hotel parking too. Especially as their are a few characters who pop up at night. The great thing about the hotel were the spacious rooms, the gym & a nice area to relax or have drinks at the bar. Even though the rooms are spacious I found the room I stayed in smelt of the sewers & I was a little underwhelmed by the upkeep of the room. It looked like it needed more tender love and care in places. Not to mention I wasn’t comfortable walking on the carpet, as it felt a little unclean in places. The views from the window weren’t the best but the size of the window itself was impressive and a nice touch to room. Although! The sound of anyone in the room next door opening their blinds was enough to wake me up on occasion. The last thing I found to be a real nuisance was the “Let’s Reschedule” door sign hung up outside constantly ignored. Followed by persistent knocking & hotel maids still trying to enter the room when you’re trying to rest. So inconvenient. This hotel wasn’t for me but I can see why many people would book to stay there."
