"Avoid like the plague, bad service right from the start. Room was grubby, looked like the bed sheet had been ironed in situ to save changing it. Hair in the bathroom and stained towels. Only 1 lift working. Coffee machine broke and got no help from the girl behind the bar. No orange juice despite the machine being set up for it. Breakfast was over salted and just tired so don't bother paying the extra. People running around the floor I was on during the night and despite my door being locked I felt like I needed to keep 1 eye open during the night. No real security, anyone can enter the hotel at any time. Parking was nearly £18 for 24hrs too in the NCP carpark next door. I'd rather spend extra and stay elsewhere where I can at least feel safer and get a decent nights sleep"
"Was a bit concerned when I read other reviews but my stay was fine. Clean, quiet and comfortable room ... and at this price point that'll do! Not sure why people get so strung out on the breakfast cost/offering; there are 20+ choices a 10 minute walk away. Skip the Travelodge for eating and go explore."
"I was a little worried after reading previous reviews, but I needn't have been! Short walk from the station, greeted very warmly by Alizay who was an absolute joy. Given a choice of floors, so opted for 6 as figured it would be quiet. This is the business floor... Room was spotless, even a bit of a view from the window. No issues with getting in late after a gig, key card worked fine. I felt safe as a woman on my own. Comfy bed, great shower, and no rush to check out the next morning. Another lovely gent on reception. Would definitely stay again, easy quick walk to go look at some of the sights. Really can't find fault for the price."
"I know travelodge is fairly cheap and you get what you pay for but this is, by far. the worst I've ever stayed in. As others have stated, I also had problems with my key card, had to get it validated 4 times during my stay, the staff were pleasant although did seem s bit clueless. The room itself was mediocre, the bed and bathroom were clean but that's where the cleanliness stopped. The windows, inside and out, were filthy, carpets stained, place just seems neglected. I do have to say that I had my towels replaced daily and the lady doing this was very pleasant. However, the noise..... it's currently 5am and the people in the next room have only just stopped their party which turned into an argument. I've had a total of 3 hours sleep over 2 nights due to the noise. I appreciate that it's the weekend and lots of people are out for Halloween celebrations but the level of noise on the corridor is absolutely ridiculous. Safe to say I will never stay here again!"
"To be fair, we only stayed for 4 days and it was generally alright. The staff are kinda slow and not very well trained but it was relatively smooth and easy to deal with and get our room. The key cards they provide are a little terrible, it was maybe the locks or the key cards themselves but they never work on the 1st or 2nd try. The whole place just gives of the vibe it was low on funds and lacking staff. But you do get what you paid for, you're not going to get 5 star treatment when you're not paying for it. All in all it was alright but we won't be back."
