"horrible people. supposedly a mental health service to HELP people, just making their lives worse."
"The therapy service that is provided is good but it can be very difficult to get the help and support you need. Even trying to speak to somebody is a nightmare. I got through to someone but all they wanted to do was get the therapist to call me, even though she is on leave. Not very helpful!"
"Completely useless for my Son. They won't even do what his GP has asked. Hoping to get help b4 he turns 18 as then it would be Arndale House, even worse. No help anywhere."
"If I could give an even lower rating, I would. This centre is absolutely awful. I was referred some years ago for help with gender reassignment and received no support whatsoever. Had a man named Ian assigned to deal with me, and he would only ever talk about my dislike of public transport. Offered no help whatsoever with me transitioning, in fact my transitioning was never even spoken of. He even once visited my school after a member of support staff was so concerned with my mental state that she felt it was necessary to ask him to come in and speak to me. Again, he did not help me at all! Both my friend and I left his session disgusted at his attitude and lack of support for my situation. He was rude, sarcastic and patronising. I only saw him, and only him, on a handful of occasions. Each time I saw him he asked if I had taken a bus, never any speak of getting help starting hormone treatment. He was so unhelpful, and dismissive of my issues, that I felt that no one from the service would be able to help me at all. My mental health deteriorated and I gave up transitioning altogether because it was obvious that mental health services would not help me. Ian is the absolute worst mental health worker I have ever experienced in my life, and I sincerely hope that people who have had him have had much better experiences. As far as I’m concerned it’s a wonder that he’s even qualified. His negligence ruined my school life and has continued to affect my mental health four years on."
"went ail the way to a Saturday appointment to find them closed. some one came to the door and said they had contacted me and left a message. NOT TRUE our appointment letter dated 25 April for 30 June has not been cancelled or any other letters issued. I did contact them about three weeks ago and the confirmed the date and time. what away to treat young people needing help after waiting several months."
