Reviews
"Somewhat cautious of the location after reading the reviews but today after several weeks of waiting I got an email which led me to this review, I need not have worried in the slightest. Building was somewhat "weathered" in the main waiting area but was clean, however i was soon whisked away to a private waiting area where I was welcomed by all the staff, given some snacks and water, very clean and well kept. Reception ladies took all my details, explained everything before i was taken through to the surgical area. a Male and Female nurse(?) along side the Doctor welcomed me once more and placed me at ease, lots of chat clearly to keep me preocupied worked wonders. And after some jolting pain which subsided in a few moments it was done. Had to wait in the reception for a while to make sure all was well, staff fed and watered me some more and there was plenty of good natured chat. And that was that. Followed the guidlines to the letter and about 2 weeks later that was it, all done and healed up a few months later, all was as it should be. If you are a bloke looking to go here, ignore the bad reviewes, nothing justified them in my opinion, i can only imagine those that got infections didnt follow the guidlines or thought they knew better. Nothing from the visit would indicate that it was in any way a risk and its far more likely the risk was with simply with the patient"
"I had a very comfortable experience with my procedure. The nurses were very nice and caring. The procedure was explained to me and I was given choices. I was very scared and emotional but I felt reassured and at ease. Thank you."
"*AVOID RUBISH AFTERCARE LEADING TO INFECTION AND SURGERY* When going in there was no issue staff were amazing and very welcoming, I had a medical abortion and the lady who was doing my appointment was amazing again. The issues started after the pulls were taken I had nothing happen so after 24 hours after taking these tablets I called back and was to wait again until it had been 48 hours after taking the last tablets. After 48 hours nothing was still progressing so again I called back up which I was told it was normal and to keep waiting. These phone calls went back and forth for a few days and finally after nit experiencing much bleeding or clotting I was booked for an appointment on the 8th nearly 3 weeks after my first tablet was taken .things seemed to get worse and the blood developed a smell and I was told to call 111 which led me to go into a&e and now having yo have a surgical abortion as I have develops an infection and the pregnancy is still left inside which is dangerous. I feel like my concerns where shrugged off and I didn't revive the after care I should, now I'm at risk for further issues etc etc. If only someone would've taken my concern seriously and had me checked out I wouldn't be in this situation now ."
"Joanna and I think it was Christine, were the kindest midwives / nurses I could have hoped to see. The procedure wasn't an easy decision and I was so anxious, but they were so reassuring, calmed me down so much and just helped get me through it with ease. The service from MSI was quick and really flawless, rung on Saturday morning, had a doctor's consultation that hour and had an appointment on Tuesday morning. Thank you to all."
"I wanted to leave a review after receiving the most amazing care today at Buckhurst Hill. There is not one single part of any treatment and care received that I can fault. From being greeted by the receptionist to being cared for by the nurses and the amazing anaesthetic team. Not once did I feel I wasn’t being treated with respect and kindness. After making this incredibly difficult decision and being around 17 weeks pregnant I had to have tablets before hand to soften my cervix. I had regular checks of blood pressure and to check I was ok. The nurses were lovely and chatted away to myself and the other girls sat in the room, instantly putting us at ease. After a couple of hours I was called in by the doctor who was absolutely lovely. I was introduced to the team carrying out the termination and every single one acknowledged me as an individual making a hard decision. I wish I had got names, but one nurse held my hand until I fell asleep and when I woke up I was greeted with a warm smile and taken in to the recovery room where I received the same level of care I had all the way through. I was given refreshments and some biscuits to eat straight away, checked on frequently to make sure I was ok and had any questions answered. I received thorough information on aftercare and felt completely reassured. Thank you to the staff as Buckhurst Hill, you work so hard and I’m really grateful for today."
