"This place is shocking. Do the e-consult, get assigned a random day for a phone appt with no time slot. They call when I’m out with bad signal and rather than try again later, they simply say I need to book another appt. In what world is this an acceptable way to run a doctor surgery."
"This place is no long a GP surgery, it's a call center. They want you to book via phone or do e consult forms and then the Dr will call you at some stage, normally a few days late. The Dr will then ask you all the same questions as you filled out on the e consult form, so what was the point in spending all that time filling out the form? It's like they don't even bother to read the notes. Better off just having one box to fill in"Why do you want to see a doctor?" They will then guess your condition and give you medication or treatment based upon assumptions. That cycle goes on and year(s) later you actually see medical professionals in person and the your condition is completely different to the one they have treated you for. The service they are providing now is no better than using an online symptom checker and then self diagnosing. One of the receptionist doesn't give you time to answer the questions that she has asked you, it ends in a confusing conversation."
"I really, really hope a better and more efficient way to request repeated prescriptions will be created because I had to go through some HELL over the holidays. With my previous GP I could request it either through the NHS app or through a Google form which was pretty straightforward. Unfortunately, that's not the case with London Lane as you can only call or email. That's fine and up until December I didn't really have issues with it (other than the lack of convenience) but for some reason this time it seems their inbox wasn't completely monitored and my email on Sunday went unnoticed. When I went to the pharmacy on Thursday, it turned out my prescription was not received. This wouldn't be an issue if the prescription in question wasn't my antidepressants which I had run out of. Fast forward, it's a bank holiday, then New year's followed by another bank holiday so in the middle of it all I began going into withdrawals and had a bit of an emotional breakdown on the 31st when I was supposed to be having a good time and not be depressed (for once). I haven't had to deal with withdrawals in more than half a year so this was unpleasant and unexpected. At this point I can handle having to wait another couple of days even if the mood swings are a bit unbearable. Anyway, some of this might've been unnecessary information but as you can tell I am not in the best state of mind right now. From now on I will only call directly to make sure my prescription request will be received. Again, that's not that bad but to avoid having another person queueing on the line and to speed up the overall process, will you please consider making it possible to request prescriptions online? It would make a difference, I promise. Edit: Just called and was told to email my request... wish me luck!"
"Other than the front desk secretaries, who are lovely, the clinic itself is wholly incompetent. I was put up to 40mg in my medication, I was continually given 20mg via the pharmacy (London Lane Prescriptions had not been made aware of the increase). Thus, I have had to double the 20mg given. Now that I have run out they refuse to repeat my prescription as I was given 2 months worth of 20mg which I used in a month (due to doubling). After finding this out for myself I have to have a phone call with a gp to re-confirm my 40mg dosage. A huge waste of time and stressful, the making of which was caused by the clinic and their lack of communication. Thanks to the secretaries for their enormous help though. Thanks to London Lane Clinic for messing up my prescription."
