"Hello everyone, one of the worst medical centre in the area, receptionist never give an appointment, try to ignore patients. I had fever since 1 week, try to contact doctor to get a advice on my sickness they send us to pharmacy rather than listening to us about our sickness. Finally, because of not giving the appointments at the very early my sickness now passed to my other family member’s and still even said urgent they give very late appointments, even patient was serious. I am going to call now the ambulance. So don’t trust these medical centre, they make patients to get serious rather than treating them early."
"I've always found it relatively easy to get an appointment here and most of the GPs are good and caring. The receptionists are usually helpful too. Parking is free and plentiful and the surgery is all on the ground floor."
"The staff are very helpful, when you can actually get though to speak to someone. It can often take several days to reach someone, as I do not always have an hour available during work time to be on hold. The clinical pharmacists and receptionists are very helpful."
"I have been with this surgery for 20 plus years and it’s never been as bad as it’s been for the last few. Yes, we have had COVID, but even prior to that you simply could not get through when calling. They introduced the new phone system and it’s not much better - waiting times are still poor. If this was a call centre, I’d be able to complain and get some action, but every valid criticism is just shrugged off. Even when you do get through, let’s say for results that involve the doctor wanting to speak to you, you have to call back again within a small allocation of time and go through the phone wait once more, and play roulette with “is there isn’t there” going to be a slot. Then when you do get through, all the slots to speak to a doctor can go quickly, and you are asked to call back yet again. IIt’s so ridiculous - it’s like dealing with an imaginary quack surgery you’d see in Father Ted, One Foot in the Grave or similar comedy. Only it’s not funny at all."
"There are bad reviews about this surgery but I would like to sing their praises. I went to the surgery today with my daughter who had a flu jab at 8.00a.m. My appointment was 1.00p.m. but Doctor Eliad was prepared for me to have my vaccination early, due to being with my Daughter. Whilst I was there an elderly gentleman needed a prescription, he was told to go to the pharmacist and explain that he needed an urgent prescription. The gentleman explained to Doctor Eliad that the pharmacist is not normally helpful. Doctor Eliad said he would put the computer on specially to send a prescription through to the pharmacist. That is what I call “going beyond the call of duty, on a Saturday. Thank you Garston Medical Centre."
