"Visited here on Monday 20th March around 1.00p.m. after having a bad fall. The 2 receptionists on duty were very abrupt. The male that dealt with me did not show any interest at all in what I was trying to explain had happened He took my details and simply said sit down. Both receptionists on duty at the time were border line rude to most people that came to the reception. The area for waiting is not clearly displayed so when people went to the reception window they were told to move away with no clear direction of what to do. Several people commented on there lack of good manners. The triage nurse was absolutely amazing, very kind and reassuring. As was the doctor who treated me. RECEPTION YOU LET YOUR TEAM DOWN"
"A woman at the reception in the Urgent care centre treated every patient like an inconvenience. She was speaking under her breath and could not hear a thing so I politely asked to repeat, straining my ear towards the glass partition. All the same, she made no effort to speak up, she was looking down whispering into the computer. I politely asked her to speak up and she gurned as if it was my fault not understanding her. I had my chin split open and was feeling shaken at the time, and could not understand why she had to treat people in dire pain/agony with such contempt. Very unpleasant experience. There was a huge notice behind her on the wall which urged to respect the staff while the staff was nothing but disrespectful. Two stars only because the nurse and the doctor at AE were lovely and very helpful."
"Very rude staff, UCC receptionist counter 2 lady was very rude. My friend had cut in his finger and waited for aprox 2 hours and still not able to get treatment. Worst treatment to patients, for this we pay thousands of pounds for NHS. People would be die instead of getting treatment. Worst."
"I can totally empathise having to deal with difficult patients at the A&E and the nurses are doing their best to accommodate everyone. However the system seems so inefficient. The traffic to the hospital is also horrendous."
"Even though it is an emergency care unit or urgent care centre the waiting time is quite a bit lot to see the doctor. Patients has to wait for a long time and there is only less information from the reception all they can say simply is please be seated will call you later. Thats it."
