"Its hard to out into words how absolutely incompetent APS Legal are. They were entrusted with a friends estate and mismanaged every aspect of it. We ended up having to resort to putting a complaint in to The President of the IPW, who by the way is brilliant and got the matter sorted. One thing you must be aware of is that APS Legal are not governed by any regulatory authority at all, so if you have any issues you can not approach The FCA as they have no jurisdiction over them. They are basically a law unto themselves. On top of this they will then take an outrageous amount of money off you for doing next to nothing, our bill was £25,000. So as other posters have said Avoid at all costs and go through a regulated Solicitors"

"Avoid, avoid this company...!! My mother put her trust in a very well known financial company who after her death used this company to handle her probate.. and it was the first mistake...!!! After 3 years of handling my mother's estate this company have still failed to produce any response to several solicitors letters and 2 formal complaints down their complaints procedure.!! My mother left a very large estate, and to date we still have no communication from APS or are any further forward...it has been and continues to be a extremely traumatic experience..my mother put her trust in people and has been let down dreadfully, not even her letter of wishes with her will has been followed. After our first case manager left under a cloud we were told that we would be allocated another one and that was over 16 months ago! Still pursuing my mothers estate with APS for a resolution with our own Solicitors and unfortunately due to APS lack of response we will now have to go forward with court proceedings to get some justice and to find out exactly where my mother's money is and who exactly has been withholding it for 3 years!!. "AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID this company at all costs ! They were instructed on both my late father & mother in laws estates took near £25k in total. It took them 2 & 3 years to finalise probate and I use the term finalise loosely as we ended up doing most of it ourselves anyway. Just today I am having to send a vat7 form in as they failed to send it and close their vat account despite completing a vat return for them as part of probate. Following the death of both my parents this company FAILED on every level and nearly broke me having to deal with them during the most traumatic time of our families life. AVOID !!!! Save your money and do probate yourself or get a decent solicitor instead."
