"Total waste of time. Arranged a viewing with them through Right Move. When we arrived, Paul told us that there was no power to the property (which is fine) but would've preferred to know this before arriving so that we could arrange an earlier viewing. Paul also informed us that the property had already received an offer. The next day, he called to follow up and we put an offer in and he wouldn't speak to the seller about our offer until we went in to their office to sign up with our proof of ID. We had no intention of buying property specifically through Entwistle Green or buying property specifically in Widnes so we weren't going to travel back to Widnes to go through an admin process when we don't even know if our offer has been accepted. Paul called a few days later and I explained that the process was pointless unless he would confirm that the offer has been accepted or at the very least considered. I also explained that we were looking at other properties in Liverpool and no other agents were asking for this without confirming the offer. He then told me that they had to check for money laundering before they will accept offers. I understand the need to follow due diligence, however I don't agree with the need to provide personal details when you don't even know if your offer is being considered! When I refused to come and provide my details he pretty much put the phone down one me. If they had written that on the advert I wouldn't have bothered going to view it. So to summarise, a total waste of time."
