"Definitely one to avoid. Used them before years ago with no problems but after my experience recently I won't be using them again. Prebooked a 7 seater taxi several days before to take myself and some family to an event. Was booked for a specific time with a quoted price. Come to the day of, I receive a text to say my taxi is outside but it is a normal car. I phone up to ask where the 7 seater is and the guy on the phone was beyond rude saying that it was never booked as a 7 seater and he would send 2 taxis but I'd have to pay more than the quoted price. After saying that I had no problem with 2 cars but I wasn't paying more than the quoted amount because I specifically asked for a large taxi and it wasn't my fault that it wasn't booked in as such. Ended up calling another company and got a taxi through them. I called the cancel the 2 taxis and got told I was a waste of time and what was the point in booking if I was going with someone else. I think they need to learn to admit fault and talk to customers with a bit of respect rather than be completely vile and expect people to still use their services."
"Whatever you do avoid this company. After making an advance booking, having received a booking confirmation and an email receipt we called to make a slight change to the booking several hours before. At this point we were told the booking had been cancelled because they had not received a deposit which had never been asked for and for which there was no mention of in the confirmation email. Should we not have called to change the booking we would have been stood waiting for a taxi that was never going to turn up as they had cancelled the booking and would never have let us know. What about a duty of care and taking some responsibility for customers who have had the forethought to book ahead and are then let down. You should be ashamed of yourselves, however I’m sure you couldn’t give a dam!"
"Pre-booked a taxis to pick us up in Leeds city centre 1am Sunday 11.12.22 at time of booking operator insisted i pay upfront although id asked if i could pay cash when the driver arrived. i was told if i didn't pay upfront the booking wouldn't be made however once paid the driver would be 100% there to collect us. arrived at the stated pick up point in good time only to receive a text message 15 minutes before agreed time telling me car broken down and you will have to get a taxis from there. Got speaking to another group from Steeton area only to be told there taxis had also broken down and they the same text. So either they are very unlucky or the cars are poorly maintained. I did try to call the operator only to be told its not coming then he hung up the phone, tried a few more occasion only to have the call hung up on each attempt. Tried to find a taxis to get us home took well over an hour eventually got an uber at almost twice the cost i have been quoted by the no shows. Called the office on Sunday to be told call on Monday as no managers in. called again Monday tried to explain what had happened chap on phone said yeah mate you going to get a refund, i asked when to be told 3 or 4 days mate. the bloke couldn't have sounded less interested in what i had to say if he tried. still no refund. so if you wish to be stranded in -0 temperatures in the expectation of getting home call Steeton and Silsden, no apolgies no customer service, no ride home"
"I have always used Steeton & Silsden but won’t be using again based on recent experiences. They were over an hour late to pick us up a few weeks ago, only to be told every time we called that the driver was 5 minutes away. Had they told us there would be an hour wait initially we would have called another company as we had a babysitter to be back for. Last week we were overcharged by 3 drivers in 1 night. The first didn’t have the meter running but charged us £10 for what I know to be a £6 journey, the next I was assured would be £15 but the driver tried to charge us £20 (again no meter running) so I called the desk asking them to confirm the price they gave me to the driver. The desk told me he would have never given me that price and that he ‘wouldn’t lie.’ The taxi driver in the end agreed the £15. The third journey consisted of 2 drop offs then the final destination. At each drop off he was given £10 which left £17 to pay for the last person but he tried to charge her the full £37, probably as he assumed she was drunk and wouldn’t notice. Appalling."
"Rubbish. Booked taxi. Then got a text to say driver there. 1 min later text to say he couldn’t find us. No chance to get outside the house. Called back said would be 1 second. Waited nothing then text to say he was there when he wasn’t. So called back and he hung up. Called a different taxi and he turned up in the meantime. They need to sort the text messages and customer service out. I won’t use again."
