"Had posted this on the main University of London page, but reposting here just in case the search algorithm pushes you here: Very poor customer service support. And I mean very slow. If there is a response, it is almost always unhelpful or condescending. Just look at their response rate on Google Reviews. Majority of EMFSS students on my program have been complaining about the time it takes to resolve issues. Their systems are cumbersome, dated and the lack of basic administrative support on the self directed courses makes for a discombobulated online experience. Just another example of an Academic Mafia. A degree - mill with unattended assembly lines. Don’t part with your hard earned money. Avoid this scam."
"AVOID!!! It kindof works for me because you only need to do assessments and exams, nothing else is required, so you can study and work full time (if you are crazy enough). So good if you just need this on your CV. I was happy for the first couple of months. BUT this is a very bad school in general, they are incredibly slow to respond to support or study queries - expect 0 study support. You are basically paying (not a lot compared to other universities but still a considerable amount) to access study materials and take an exam, nothing else. Study materials are bad (typos, mistakes in exercise solutions) and outdated (most from around 2010 or earlier), so you need to supplement them with your own. No online lectures, barely any student feedback or engagement. I got flagged for "poor educational writing" on a paper so I kindly asked for feedback so I could improve. The answer I got was that "this had been reported to them, but they couldn't tell me what the issue was"... Hmm... Covid was handled terribly. They gave us inconsistent messaging and changed the exam schedule last min. Then the changed the exam format last min. All very very stressful with an extremely poor upload system which added to exam stress. Pretty awful experience overall. I am STILL WAITING for my exam results. Please consider other universities. This one is not worth the money."
"Top Quality Degree from a prestigious University. 2 stars removed because it takes three months to mark my exam papers, you get no feedback except the result itself and the delay in marking my exams is having a knock on effect on my career progression."
"Any prospective students of the International Programmes beware! - I have had an awful time with a online BA. There is no support system in place whatsoever for helping students (paying up front in good faith) to take these courses. I had a major problem with my BA which remains unresolved after a long 4 weeks of waiting for any sort of response at all from the university. Totally unacceptable. Avoid like the plague."
"ALL POTENTIAL DISTANCE LEARNING STUDENTS, Important things to know about this school include the following: 1. Some modules are amazing, and some are not worth the money. 2. Marking between the core modules and elective modules in their program is inconsistent, with core modules being significantly easier than the electives. 3. Any concern about assignment marking will be met with a flat out REFUSAL to provide a re-check. 4. Any academic concern with the grades received in a written examination will be met with a flat out REFUSAL to check for potential errors in marking and a REFUSAL to provide feedback. 5. If an exam is lost or incorrectly assigned to your student number...they expect YOU to pay for them to conduct an administrative re-check to ensure that your name is actually on the exam registered to your number. 6. Transcript waiting times are ridiculously long, with a total wait time of around 2-4 months to have a transcript sent out. These are all of the issues that I have run into while studying in the DL MSc program (Infectious diseases). I wish I had known this before attending the school, so I hope that it will provide valuable insight for future students before they decide to jump into studying with this institution."
