About the Business
Welcome to The Geoffrey Whitworth Theatre, located on Beech Walk in Dartford, United Kingdom. Our institution holds a special place in the hearts of locals and visitors alike as a historic, cultural, and artistic point of interest worth exploring.
At our beautifully-designed establishment, we offer a wide range of entertaining performances throughout the year, ranging from theatrical productions to concerts and live events. Our theatre is named after Geoffrey Whitworth, an esteemed playwright and the founder of the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA), a theatre charity that supports amateur theatre groups throughout the UK.
The Geoffrey Whitworth Theatre has been operating since the 1960s and has a rich history of providing quality theatre productions to local audiences. We pride ourselves on our professional and dedicated staff who work hard to ensure that every performance is a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone who steps foot in our doors. Our venue can seat up to 400 guests and has state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment, giving our performers everything they need to put on an incredible show.
Our commitment to fostering local talent is evident in our Youth Theatre group. We welcome young people between the ages of 8 and 18 to explore their creativity, whether they want to act, sing, or work behind the scenes. We provide a safe and supportive environment for them to learn new skills, make new friends, and gain confidence in themselves both on and off the stage.
In addition to our regular shows and Youth Theatre program, we also host workshops and events throughout the year, inviting professionals in the industry to provide insight and advice to those looking to hone their craft. Whether you're a seasoned performer or someone who's just starting out in the world of theatre, there's always something to learn at The Geoffrey Whitworth Theatre.
We invite you to join us for a night of entertainment, to witness the talent of our performers and experience the magic of live theatre. Visit us at Beech Walk in Dartford, and become a part of our longstanding tradition of artistic excellence.

"It's a lovely little theatre, cheap prices on tickets and drinks from the bar. It's tucked away behind a residential area which can make it hard to find but it is signposted quite well. The performances are always top notch!"
