"Very tired and run down looking although OK for solo performers I would not recommend for plays or bands. Acoustics are awful despite best efforts of the mixing techs, the speakers are just not up to the job. Great for intimate gatherings, maybe stand up comedians etc."

"Really good venue with a good view from most areas. I appreciated that they refurbished this place because it meant they now attract bigger acts - as a result I went to see Jimmy Carr and he was very hilarious so I do recommend seeing him. I will say though even though they invested a lot in redoing Fairfield the actual theatre looked the exact same the seats improved but that was it. All in all nice venue"
