"This School hired a teacher who was a Child Molester. Since 2006 a male member of staff in the Physical Education department who Molestered young students, these incidents happen in 2015 to 2016. The teacher said to a girl that he fancied her, and he had done so since she had started in Year 7. He also said to a young girl that he wanted to kiss her and that he wanted her to come to his house in a box so he could unwrap her. There was also another occasion when the teacher said to one girl that he lets her get away with stuff because he likes naughty girls. Yes the teacher has been banned for teaching until 2019, but that is definitely not long enough, also the teacher had been warned about his behaviour but was still hired by South Craven."
"From experience of going to this School, I would definitely recommend for any parents who have children with either learning difficulties or who are not brilliantly academic not to send their Children here. For example Children who are going to be in the bottom sets will for a fact be treated as minors, they will not be given the respect they deserve, they will also not be taught their subjects in a helpful way, for example in Maths instead of been taught by a teacher they will all be sent to the computer room to go on My Maths and to go on other Maths sites which will not better their education. They will also be times where your child will get called stupid by some members of staff. Some parents who are reading this may have seens the South Craven video which shows viewers what the School is like. In some ways that video is not true, for example all the student who are in that video are in top sets for the subjects you see them in, so this is not giving children of lower sets the same opportunity to explain how they think the school is, also the video does not featuring any bottom set classes parents who are watching the video do not get to see what the bottoms sets consist of. Also all the teachers who are in the video teach all students who are in top sets, so they can not fully describe what it's like to teach children who are not as academic. I believe that this way in uncalled for and also discriminating."
"Les Miserables .....what a superb performance. A massive thank you to everyone involved. It was so professional so impressive and so moving. The West End beckons for lots of you! WELL DONE"
"South Craven is the most disorganised school I have ever known I have been down twice to collect work that has not been there or is locked in a room that can't be opened because the member of staff is not there this is extremely inconvenient for me due to being a full time farmer. They just waste your time, they also do not help children with slow learning that do not suffer from dyslexia. The hygiene is disgusting specially in the toilets and some members of staff do nothing but play on candy crush while teaching. I was a student and I wish I had changed schools from the start of year seven because it was horrendous."
"all schools have bad students and teachers that you struggle to get along with but south is a great school that provides you with many great opportunities. thanks to all my teachers that have helped me get started in life."
