"What a place, and what absolutely wonderful staff who not only know *exactly* what they are talking about, but who are incredibly welcoming, polite and kind. I visited Turmeaus (perhaps an hour before closing time) for the first time today as I was in need of some pipe tobacco, a pouch that could hold pipes and a tool/lighter as well as tobacco and I was not disappointed: they had everything I was looking for, and more! The excellent gentleman who served me (the manager) was kind enough to take his time to show me a few pipes (I was looking for a very specific sort) and then let me know that their website has more, and that if I ask, I can have one delivered to the shop to see it - how convenient! It was 10 out of 10, at this point. Seriously, if you are a pipe smoker, this place has literally *everything* you could ever need. If you like whisky, they sell it too - and they have some really very special malts. Also, if you like cigars, you're in for a surprise: they have a walk-in humidor with almost every variety you can imagine. I can thoroughly recommend Turmeaus, and I know that I will most definitely be back - the service I received was outstanding, and the goods I bought were similarly excellent. By the time I left, it was a clear 15 out of 10! I wish I had bothered to ask the gentleman who served me for his name, because he is a genuine credit to the business, nevertheless, I am exceedingly grateful and he deserves my most sincere thanks."

"The premier tobacco shop for pipe smokers. A wonderful selection of loose tobacco, all well looked after, and for a very reasonable price. The shop is small and quaint. But don't mistake small meaning limited stock, far from it. The space available is maximised to form a smokers paradise with smoking paraphernalia in every direction. The shop has a walk in humidor for cigars which I didn't go in. However, I did witness a chap come in asking for some help choosing and was well looked after. He left a happy man (who wouldn't with a cigar in hand?!) Saving the best to last - the customer service. Truly brilliant. I asked for a recommendation and was walked through the wide range of tobaccos. The gentleman - apologies, I forgot to get his name - knew it all. Passionate about tobacco, knowledgeable and incredibly welcoming. I couldn't ask for anymore. I'll be back very soon!"
