"Hey will there be any prime hydration on Friday 6th January?"
"Numerous members of staff including management are extremely rude and have absolutely zero customer service skills. Post office randomly shuts when they please. Despite this being my local shop, I now actively avoid spending my money there due to the staff attitudes."
"Monday April 2nd 2018 I regularly use this Spar store when I visit my son who lives nearby on Longmead Ave. I have to say in the past I have been impressed and very pleased with the service I have received. However this morning @approx. 9.00am I had a very bad experience. I purchased 2 newspapers, bananas and raspberries and paid with a £20 note. On checking my change I only received £2 coin and other coin change. I was given no receipt so I politely asked the female assistant “How much the goods were( I had not been told how much the transaction was at the time of purchase) She showed me the till roll and I was informed it was £7.and odd coins. I judged this to be correct but pointed out that I had given a £20 note but had only been given change back for £10. The assistant disagreed and called another (young male)assistant . The situation was explained to the young man who suggested that an extra £10 should be given. The female assistant was reluctant to do so and commented “he said he gave me £20”. A request was made by the female assistant to use CCTV to verify whether or not I had given £20. By this time the queue of other customers had built up and I had step aside to allow them to be served. After several minutes the young male assistant returned and explained (quietly to the female assistant)that the CCTV was inconclusive. Finally the manageress(I assume) appeared and the whole situation was explained again. The manageress decided to close the operating till down and she would check if there was an excess of £10 in the till float. By this time I had been left standing by the tills for between 15-20 minutes feeling extremely embarrassed and annoyed. Finally the manageress returned with £10 note in hand and apologised and explained that “the till receipts were not being printed” This whole unsavoury business has left a very nasty taste and clearly my bad experience at this store I will have to mention. Can I make these observations? Anyone can make a mistake but there were severe lapses at the till procedures which would have solved the problem more amicably and a lot swifter: Surely in this digital age a till receipt(which I was not given at the completion of the transaction) will indicate how much I gave the assistant(i.e.£20) and what change I was expected to receive. This is common transactional business. My integrity was brought into question which believe me is not a pleasant experience and would make me reluctant to use the store again nor recommend others to use it July 2018 Update,I did receive an apology from the area manager and the offer of a complimentary bottle of wine. I have revisited the store and notice now that till receipts are an option on request"
"I would like to express my appreciation of all the staff at my local supermarket which I use daily. They are all so pleasant and helpful no matter how busy they are. I am particularly impressed by Amanda, the new manageress, and smiling Suzanne Ellison on the checkout. Thank you all."
