"We bought a travel suitcase there and before leaving the hotel room and not even completely loading the suitcase with luggage the zipper broke. We immediately went to return it and were in a hurry because it was our last day in London. The sales clerk wanted nothing to do with us and called over another person from a restaurant across the road. After having thoroughly checked the suitcase for a very, very long time he agreed that it was indeed faulty but he needed the approval of the store owner to take it back and that we needed to wait for him, which would take about an hour. Having already waited for around 15 minutes we agreed to return in an hour. When we came back the owner was still not there and the original clerk claimed she didn't know when he would return, whilst complaining neither she nor the guy across the street didn't have their lunch break yet. We waited and waited until, after much complaining on our behalf, she reluctantly asked the guy across the street to come over. We had to quote consumer law and get angry to be able to return the faulty suitcase for a new one, all the while she tried protesting that British law didn't apply to them because it was a private company and that we didn't have a right to return faulty goods that we didn't check thoroughly for flaws before taking home, as if it was out duty to assume that all good for sale were faulty and they had a right to swindle us if we didn't call them out on it right away. I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone and would have given it zero stars had it been an option."
